The Trip - SFGAm. 8/9

Umm... as for an introduction... I got nothing. So lets get right to the RR...

Demon (3) - A decent Arrow with three very cool tunnels. The first one kinda boggles my mind. Reminds me alot of the Wizard of Oz. The second tunnel is just trippy. The third tunnel is just very cool. A smooth ride with terrible banking as always.

Raging Bul (5) - This ride is kickin'. Good air all throughout the ride. Not to incredibly intense but just enough to satisfy even this enthusiast. The only drawback lies squarely upon the third hill brake. Why has the park decided to turn this thing on "Where do you think you are going?" mode? The ride is smooth as silk and I see absolutely no point to it. This would've been one of my top favorites if it didn't slow down so much. Oh well, great ride.

American Eagle (3) - An okay ride that lasts forever thanks to the double helix.

Iron Wolf (2) - Ouch. The feet back, press forward on the OTSR helped a little but not much. The ride is however very intense and disorienting. Good first attempt by B&M.

Batman: The Ride (5) - My favorite of the Batman clones. the queue line looks like an actual park. The tunnel is dark enough to make you believe its a sewer access drain. In the station, the Batman theme is played nice and loud and there are monitors playing some very cool F/X. The ride itself is smooth as glass and better then most others. The trees have really grown in making for some awesome foot choppers. Two thumbs.

Vertical Velocity (5) - Just like my S:UE, not yours Julie!, a terrific ride. Great air on both spikes and I believe the holding brake holds you just a bit longer than S:UE. Awesome ride.

Shockwave - CLOSED

Whizzer (4) - Extremely odd ride. The lift isn't... very normal. Smooth ride all around and not to intense. A good beginners coaster. I'm glad its staying.

Deja Vu (1) - We managed to catch it just as it opened back back because of some "minor technical difficulties." Minor my butt. The ride is jsut as terrible in the front as it is in the back. One word... credit.

Viper (5) - Oh my god is this ride smooth! Not a bump on the entire track. Tons and tons of airtime. Just the right amount of laterals. I thought the ride would be rough be its looks but really the total opposite. Awesome ride!

I found the park to be very clean, very friendly employees, and alot of rides worth while riding. Definitely one of the better Six Flags, IMO. I gave the park a (5).

It took me a while to get used to the Batman theming. As my husband put it "this is how you get around having to take care of nice landscaping...make it so that it's SUPPOSED to look trashy". Once I accepted the theme, I had to admit it was well done.

I liked Deja Vu, although I rode in the middle. There was enough "fear factor" in there for me being pulled up and falling against the restraints to get the adrenaline going.

Never have I heard a more eloquent explaination of that damned trim brake on that third hill. I have riden Raging Bull somewhere in upwards of 100 times and everytime I stupidly anticipate awesome airtime coming over that hill only to be disappointed by that stupid brake.

Sfgam's deja vu is actually an awesome ride. And the front seat while going up the first tower is completely horrifying. Too bad you were dissapointed.
