The Stupidest or Scariest Moment

What's the stupidest, yet scariest thing you have ever done on a ride?

For me it's put the lapbar on nowhere near me on Titan (to much airtime, I felt like I would have fallen out)! *** This post was edited by coastergoose on 4/30/2001. ***
On woodies as the train climbs the lift I like to lean over and touch/slap the top of the "railing" (what's it actually called) Just a harmless thing I like to do. On steel coasters you can't do that. Anyway, on SROS at SFNE I noticed last summer that near the very end of the ride, left side, you come close to one of the supports. I thought I would try to touch it as we whipped by, and I was able to! It is one of those large circumference, smooth supports so I knew I was in no danger of catching my hand on anything. And I let my fingertips/palm side hit it according to direction of travel, sort of bounced right off, no pain. If it had hurt I would have placed my tail 'tween my legs and hope no one noticed. The point is that I knew it wasn't "smart" and at my (advanced) age I certainly know better. I just could not resist. Also, I am NOT a large person so my arms are not long. I wonder if SFNE knows about this. Some (other) bozo might try this and break some bones...and guess who's fault that would be? Yeah, you guessed it!
The last seat on the Kennywood Jack Rabbit scared the !@#$ out of me the first time I rode it. I try not to do "stupid," at least not on Roller Coasters anyway. It can be my forte at other times, however.
MABrider -- that is sooo tempting, isn't it? I did it on the turnaround on the Blue Streak (CP) once, and that one HURT. I kinda forgot the relationship between wood and slivers and how going 40+ mph can really drive one into your hand, ouch. Of course, being as brilliant as I am, I did it on the Wildcat too (after all, steel doesn't have slivers), and found out exactly how good a conducter of electricity the human body is. I think I'll keep my hands and arms down inside the car at all times... ;)

Touching trees on Double Loop's lift.
Well once I was riding thunder canyon with a group of people and three other people who I didn't know. So this guy got on the ride, right, and we were going down the first turn thing and he saw the waterfall, he said "Oh, $#^t! I didn't know you got wet on this ride!" so he proceeded to take off his seat belt and move to the other side of the boat. Well, he ended up falling into the water. All the people in my group were laughin our butts off, but his group was all concerned and stuff. But he ended up being able to climb into the boat behind him. I don't know how he did it.

I did it like this, I did it like that, I did it with a wiffle ball bat.. ohhh

On viper at SFGAm my lap bar flew up halfway through the ride. I held it down with everything I had for the rest of the ride. When I think about it, maybe I am just dillusional because i don't think it is possible for something like that to happen. But either way it scared the #@&% out of me.

lets see. I touched a tree coming out of the station of Iron Wolf at SFGAm, tried to touch the railing (I pulled back before actually touching) of Viper at SFGAm and didn't have my lap bar any near my lap, I felt like my lap bar was going to fly up my first time on American Eagle at SFGAm and had to hold it down from the helix on, I almost blacked out while riding Shockwave after they decided to not use a pair of trim brakes, I hit a tree during the turn around part of the interlocking flat spins on Kumba at BGT, I lost my pocket knife on Hulk at IOA, I almost hit a support on Scorpion at BGT, but the lap bar was pretty far off my lap and I was trying to so don't worry, I almost got frost bite on S:ROS at SFDL while riding in October, and I hit my knees pretty hard on some bolts sticking out of the car on Twister II at SFEG. I haven't had much luck with coasters, but I still love 'em!
The trailblazer at Hershey park you can touch the ground.
On Rockin' Roller Coaster at Disney, right before the launch, I looked down and put my head in front of the restraints, and instead of shooting my head back at the launch, I was stuck looking at my feet with my head out of the horsecollar. Then we went upside down and the g forces hurt my neck. Since my head wasn't there, my neck banged back and forth inside the restraint instead of my head!It was painful! I had to wait for the non inverted part of the Cobra Roll to slam my head back. Really freaky.
I think we've had this topic before. But my scariest moment on a coaster was my first ride. It was the Sea Dragon at Wyandot Lake in Columbus. I was scared to death to get on, but had no way out of it. Everyone was riding, so I had to. I was screaming my head off lol. I was about 5 or 6 at the time :)

Didn't take out my nipple rings on Outer Limits:Flight of Fear. Ouch! I take them out everytime I go to parks, but when I'm at a water park, I like the hang my keychains on them(usually of my 2 fave coasters, SROS and The Beast). I'm sorry. Too much information. ;)
They made me take them at at WDW which kind of pissed me off, but it was pretty much ok.
