The robot out front should have told you . . .

Pretty soon we won't be able to buy anything without the business knowing all of your business. Pretty soon we will have to sell our identity in order to buy some groceries. Pretty soon we will be bombarded with ads on top of noisy ads telling us that we need something specific or that we are out of a certain kind of food. Welcome to the future, kids.

A very interesting and topical website to visit is:

Paranoia will destroy you. :)

(I have an Am Ex card with the RFID in it - awesome!)

I'm not paranoid. I'm just cautious of the people who rule this world, like big businesses and our very own government, who have the opportunity right now to use technology to destroy us. They get away with so much illegal and immoral activity as it is, when this technology becomes the norm, who's to say that it will not be used to give them even more power? Our government has become a huge for-profit business and huge business are controlling our government, so this is likely the next step.

I'll pass on the tracking device in my credit card. It's just a seemingly harmless feature that could eventually jump-start an Orwellian system.

Pack this idea into a cute !robot!, and people will eat it up. I love robots! they are cute! I hope we all can become robots someday!

Just like Lo-Q has taught us, no matter how harmful it's affects are, pushing it on the people will eventually allow it to be accepted as the norm.

None of the good parasites destroy their hosts - it makes no sense.

These things wouldn't last a week at SFA. Welcome to the present, kids. :)

These things wouldn't last a week anywhere. The robot element is stupid. Hell, I'd be inclined to rip the arms off of it.

. . . Just like the leg you ripped off of that poor, unsuspecting woman and unceremoniously draped over your shoulder. ;)

The robot element IS stupid, Gonch, but that's the best way to emotionally appeal to people. Everybody loves robots. :)

^I am waiting for a robot greeter for Wal-Mart. ;)

That'd be too easy.

Hey, that's one way to get out of paying for health benefits....far better than their current method! ;)

Wait, you mean those aren't already robots? Huh. ;)

Wal-mart rules! On the other hand it's Tar-zhay that's losing sales.

I felt like a robot when I worked for Target all those years.

It took me a while to understand your "joke". lol

Tina said that she wondered when greeters at Wal-Mart would be replaced with robots, then Carrie joked that she thought Wal-Mart greeters were already robots, then Bear mentioned Target, and I tied it all together with me feeling like a robot when I worked at Target. I was talking emotionally and not physically. My arms are still attached.

But enough about me.

lol.

I'm scared for the day when I find HAL running a wacky worm...

You mean he isn't already controlling the government?
