Does anyone have a good pic of Volcano today so I could compare. If anyone has one please put the link down. Thanks
The track just to the right of volcano's launch tunnel is all that's left of the old haunted river attraction,that section of track was just after haunted river's final drop out of the mountain.I think the original load station for haunted river was right under volcano's load station,I also do remember riding smurf mountain when I first visited the park in 82 I never rode time shaft though.I did however ride haunted river once and only once,that last drop sure scared the mess out of me.I still remember being able to see the mountain from I-95 as you approached the exit for the park.Like Zimm has said I too miss the character and original themes that PKD once had,seeing as how it was my first park and like a few have stated Scooby doo was also my first coaster.
Me in 1999 - "Mrs. Endert, I think the itinerary should have Busch Gardens at end because a hyper-coaster called Apollo's Chariot is new and they have a cool suspended ride called Alpengeist.
Teacher: Oh, we went to Busch Gardens last year, we're going for Kings Dominion this year. Kids have said there were more things to do
Me thinking to myself: What the hell is Kings Dominion?
