the return of jokers jinx

after being closed for the first three weeks of the season, jokers jinx has reopened. it is incredibly smooth and an awesome ride. after several hours of test runs sfa opened the queue at 445 pm. and it filled about half way shortly after. it is now quite an incredible ride!
This is great news! I can hardly wait to ride the all new version of JJ,too bad I've gotta wait till the 18th to make my next trip because one of my friends(who does the driving for us) has to go to FT Lauderdale to help his uncle take care of a move to a new residence I will however be able to make it to SFA on the 18th.

I made a trip report!

It's awsome!

I rode it this morning (Sunday). I thought that it was smoother than FOF at PKD, but not quite as smooth as Robin the chiller. Definately a vast improvement. People must be catching on quick because the queue was longer than the queue for SROS. I didn't see any signs of the second train.

I'll have to look for some old photos of the Jinx's trains to see if the running gear has changed along withe the restraints. I think it has.

the second train might be under that white tarp next to the joker.

The tent is covering several intermodal shipping containers, and yes it may be in those containers. However it isn't outside yet being preped as the yellow train was before it was put into service, so I'm guessing that we can expect it to be at least a couple weeks before we see it in service. Even if the train is at the park, right now the mechanic's effort seems to be directed to getting reliable one train operation. They were having some trouble with it at around noon today.
What sort of trouble were they having with it? I've heard that the tent is being used as a temporary storage area for a surplus supply of prize's for the midway games.
Hey Jim probably saw you today, what a great ride this was, I like it alot more than FOF because it feels that much faster with the wind blowing in your face. The headchoppers are insane, especially since you never really notice them until you're in a more open car such as this one.

I rode JJ last season and it was VERY rough but the OTSR were also VERY soft. Even with the OTSR it seemed towards the end of the ride that my head would be chopped off. If I raised my hands I could probably touch it.
Does Jokers Jinx's trains have Go/ No go straps like the 2 FOFs do?
It has a seatbelt from the seat to the lapbar if thats what you mee.

BatwingFanSFA: I've also heard that about the prizes, though it seems like a strange place to keep them with the many other areas away from the public that are available that would not require a tent for cosmetics.

I don't know what the problems were, but my trip was the last before they shut it down with several mechanics checking it. When I left at around 1:00 PM they were doing test runs. I suspect that it was a minor glitch, not anything serious.

While the old pictures that I have of the running gear are not real clear, it does appear that the running gear has been modified for better tracking.

Sam Marks told me on Saturday that the tarp has prizes in them and even proved it when some employees went and took some out of the tarp.
If Sam says it, I believe it.
Ugh! I was there on Saturday, but do to adult responsibilities, namely having to go to work at 3:00, I couldn't stay. I also couldn't go on Sunday due to work. The only thing that kept me sane was my mothers phrase "It'll be there all summer". Nonetheless, I was very happy to see it running again, and ahead of the original target date (Memorial Day).
