The Red Devil

I myself have ridden the Red Devil at Ghost Town in Maggie Valley, NC.  I really liked this coaster. Its very unigue with the lift at the end, and the 80ft. drop out of the station into the loop.  I also like this traditional park, which is built on a mile high mountain, has anyone else been to this enjoyable park?

The coaster was closed I believe all last season. I was up at WCU for 4 weeks and I went by there once but it was closed and when I called later it was. Someone I know who lives up there says it hasn't opened all summer. It appears that the coaster is in bad shape and needs a lot of work done on it.

Yes, last season I went up there and they said the park would open late because of some sort of "train accident" I got this from the people who owned the cabin we stayed in, I hope it re-opens, its really a great coaster.

I have went to Ghost Town a few years ago and I rode the Red Devil countless times.  Its a great coaster that doesnt get much credit.
