Associated parks:
None

Well, I couldn't find anybody who could go to SFWoA with me so I "settled" for a day at Cedar Point with my little sister (she will be a sophomore in high school next year). The weather was beautiful. This was the first nice day Northern Ohio has seen for about 2 or 3 weeks, so of course CP was crowded. I guess it wasn't too crowded, but I'm used to mid-May visits where everything is a walk-on with two trains running! I was personally fighting mono, but I'm not going to let that deter me from riding (don't worry, the doctor said I'm OK to ride as long as I feel up to it, and I did).

By the time we got to the park and my sis bought her ticket, it was about 10:45. Seeing a crowded Raptor queue, we made our way to the back of the park for two walk-on rides on Magnum. We sat in the back for the first ride and in the ejector seat for the second. Maggie was running great! The last time I was at CP, Magnum was a little on the slow side, but light trims and no wind made for some extreme airtime on both rides yesterday, especially the second. On my ejector seat ride, my lapbar didn't staple midride (first time it's ever happened) because I raised my leg in the spot where it always happens (hill after the second tunnel). I was literally standing on every single bunny hop back into the station. This was probably my favorite Magnum ride ever.

After Magnum, I dragged my self-conscious little sis on Woodstock's Express, and she was surprised by the first helix as I was on my first ride.

Next, we hit Gemini, which we chose at the wrong time of day. They were testing the blue train all throughout our wait, which was about 20-25 min. Proud to say we got on the first race of the day which we won (blue side). Even better, we weren't trimmed on either brake - red side was trimmed on both! :)

Next was a ride on the Mine Ride, where I saw Natalie for the first time operating the ride. On the way out, I yelled "Ride of Steel" and she gave me this dumbfounded look, which I was expecting. Natalie probably gets stuff like this all the time from coaster enthusiasts she has never met, so I suppose my cry was nothing special!

Next we walked on the Frontier Trail to grab some lunch at the Dragon Inn. I had Chicken Strips. I really feel sorry for CP food service employees. Talk about insane!

Next I had the privilege of seeing my sister on her first Millennium Force ride. After a 50 minute wait, we were off in car 8-1. Wow, speed, airtime...MF was in top form yesterday. I still like Magnum better but the first drop on this big blue bastard is like heaven. Nice to see the annoying squeak the wheels were making the past few visits has disappeared.

After this, we headed for a walk-on ride on the Blue Streak, a 25 minute wait for Raptor, and a 20 minute wait for Power Tower down before we had to leave so she could be at school for a "Flag Corps" practice. (I'm running out of time so that's why I'm making this short) All in all a great day - busier than I'm used to, but still not too bad. Props to CP crews for near-perfect operation. Raptor rarely ever stacked a train, and when it did, it was for no longer than a few seconds. Same with MF, as soon as the train hit the brakes, the next one was out! So I didn't make it to Six Flags, but it looks like the substitute was well worth it. Seeing my sisters face at the top of MF's hill is something I'll NEVER forget!

Which is the ejector seat on Magnum?

If Millennium Force doesn't go upside-down, then how could Mantis?
First car, third row. "The Secret" is to cross your legs also. You will get ejected. I happen to like the back the most on Magnum (and on every coaster, except The Force) however.
