The Phantom has had it's Revenge!

Today at approximately 2p.m. the Phantom's Revenge went (REALLY quickly) around the track for the first time!

What can I say? It maintains a whole lot of speed throughout the ride, it looks and sounds very smooth, and should be a great ride... I say should be because no, I didn't get my chance to ride. The train (and we've only received one so far) only went around 5 times. 3 with sandbags in all the seats. The last 2 times the first seat was occupied. 1st riders - Harry Henninger, the President of KP and the Morgan rep. 2nd, the Morgan rep again and the foreman of our construction crew.

Now for a few minor adjustments from Morgan's folks, and we should be ready some time next week.

TAKE NOTICE, THOUGH, there is only ONE train on the premises, even if by some chance this ride opens to the public this weekend, expect L-O-N-G lines until train #2 arrives from God knows where.

Happy riding!

Could you describe the ruckus? *** This post was edited by kpjb on 5/9/2001. ***
So the question becomes: Will the people who protested this "re-building" be eating their words?

Eat their words? I don't know. Everyone has their own taste, but I think the improved Phantom definitely will appeal to a broader spectrum of riders.
