The Next GG Coaster

bobthecoasterguy's avatar
Just some random speculation, but I was browsing the Holiblog and the newest entry mentions that a park owner came with the GG guys to ride the Voyage. So who do you guys think will be the next proud owner of a GG woodie, be it this particular park owner's park or another? *** Edited 7/25/2006 12:38:03 AM UTC by bobthecoasterguy***

the link doesnt work buddy! :]
Better be a park in North America!. I haven't ridden either Hades or Voyage(next weekend!). But looking at POVs of both, they both look amazing.
I hope a park somewhere, some day, wants to build a coaster crazier then voyage. Mind you, I'm basing my view just on the video of Voyage, but it looks absolutly ignorant from the POVs.

Top 5 wood: 1.Hades 2.Voyage 3.Boulder Dash 4.Avalanche 5.Legend
Top 5 Steel: 1.Maverick 2.Fire Dragon 3.Batman 4.Raptor 5.Ice Dragon

Wasn't Bell's looking to build one of these next year? Or did the storm they have change any of their plans?

Bell's has been looking to build a CCI/TGG ride ever since I can remember. Not saying that isn't who paid HW a visit but those plans have been bouncing around for ages now.
Who's going to be doing the Waldameer coaster?

Arthur Bahl

Didn't lagoon announce that whatever they are building for 2007 was going to be the biggest project they every had?

For Lagoon? Nope.
Taking a stab in the dark here, but could it possibly be an S&S?

Yeah is Good!

Gravity Group has assumed the Ravine Flyer II project from Waldameer. The project originated as a CCI ride, but since switched hands due to CCI's obvious closing.

I'm going to just throw out that Cedar Fair would have to be taking a good look at The Voyage. No wooden coaster has been built at any CF park for a while, and with the potential of rides like The Voyage, the time is ripe for some new wood in the chain. Remember they do much of their planning for CP and others on a long term scale (5 years).
There are definitely a lot of parks/company's that could benefit. Heck... putting in any coaster as good as The Voyage would benefit anyone. ;)

Nope. Does anyone read Screamscape anymore? ;)

You're assuming the park owner has agreed to purchase a GG woodie. I suspect that was not the case when they rode.

Sure, but "read" and "trust" are different things ;)

I haven't read screamscape since lance leaked the TR:TR blueprints.
Howabout valleyfair getting one? They need it BADLY!!!
It's a common thing for coaster companys to take potential customers to see and ride their attractions.

Just because you test drive a vehicle doesn't mean your buying it, it's just gives you a better idea of the car.
