The New Jersey governor, how ironic.

I saw this image and kind of got a kick out of it considering that the state of New Jersey passed the first law in the U.S. for G-Force limits on coasters. In this image you will see the main man of this state enjoying a ride on a coaster. Its New Jersey Governor McGreevey.

Just because he's the governor doesn't mean that he drafted the legislation, or even that the legislation is bad. I thought we all agreed that the limits were high enough that they weren't anything to really be concerned about.

The limits are high enough that they don't have an effect on any existing coasters in the state. The way that coasters are being built today, it probably would not have an effect on anything planned for the future. It is basically useless, unnecessary legislation. New Jersey tax dollars at work. My guess from the photo is that he is probably looking for a way to tax each ride on a coaster. This man has never met a tax he didn't like. He usually likes the tax so much that he decides to increase it. Way to go McGreedy. Enjoy your one and only term in office.

I don't dislike McGreevy because of the amusement park legislation about g-forces... I dislike him because of everything else he has done. I didn't think that anyone could be worse than Florio, but...

I just think it's great to see a politician riding a rollercoaster instead of complaining about them.

Well, if its the looping coaster at Seaside Heights, its not a ride of monumental proportions. Stick him on Nitro and if he returns to the station with a smile, then I'll be impressed!
