The Neverending Story

I've looked around in the past for more information about this attraction at Warner Bros. Movie World in Germany, but I haven't ever had any success finding anything beyond the brief description found on the park's website.

This posted News here about Coaster Grotto's guide to WBMW piqued my interest once more, but that site has no information either, beside another brief mention.

Might anyone know where I can find information about this attraction? Particularly, I'd *love* to see pictures of it. The Neverending Story is one of my favorite novels and movies.

It's a rapids ride? :( That's a little disappointing, considering the great story there is to tell. But, I haven't run into many parks that understand story.

Anyway, if you could manage that video, I'd be really grateful. Thanks for the pictures.

My memory of Never Ending Story is rusty, but even after riding the Bilge Rat Barges, I remember this as one of the most remarkably themed rapids ride in the world.

The actual rapids were pretty decent, but what made it special were some of the elaborate sets, both indoors and out - a lot of the ride is enclosed.

Must be an awfully long ride to not have an end.

It's one of my favorite novels, and it's not terribly long, but I've never finished it. 26 chapters, and I always trail off somewhere around the letter N.

I'd be really interested to know what elements from the story are incorporated into the story. It'd be incredible if there were Ygramul, but that character was omitted from the movie, so it's not likely.

Hmmm... never saw the movie or rode the ride, but I go to fun little 80's New Wave nights at a few local nightclubs, and sometimes the DJ plays the song "Never Ending Story" by Limahl. Much dancing usually ensues. Gotta respect any song done by the lead singer of Kajagoogoo trying for a solo career.

That song is the theme from the movie. The entire movie soundtrack is the bizarre cross of new wave/synth and classical. It's really awesome. :)
