The Mummy Returns Ride Opening!!!

Can I ask why is the Mummy ride in Orlando opening May 21st, but the Mummy Ride in Hollywood is opening June 25th, if anything, it should at least be switched around, Universal Studios Hollywood barely has ANYTHING!!! Is there any reason why they can't be both opened at the same time? ANybody knows y? I hope they change the date as I am visiting LA in late May, and thought it was going to open when they claimed "Spring 2004", June 25th is Summer...

Did it ever occur to you that both rides did not begin construction at the same time and that just because they are the same ride under the same corporate name doesn't mean the opening date will be the same too?

Maybe some research would have helped you, pk? Universal never claimed "Spring 2004" with the California version, they have always said "Summer 2004." Two different rides and locations require different amounts of time.

And you might want to check your spelling, people around here pick apart posts like there's no tomorrow. :)

You very well may get lucky and have the ride opened early for "previews" just like the one at USF did....

Probably a main reason USF's opened earlier is due to the building it's housed in...."ours" (USF's) is a bigger building, so it was probably easier to do the actual construction/assembly in our Kong than in their ET.

I'd be surprised if anyone other than enthusiasts even KNOWS there are two Mummies...and after Sean Combs buys Universal, there'll probably be two "Diddies" to match...;)

I'm just shocked Gator knew who Sean Combs is and that he didn'tbotch the joke by saying there'd be "two 'Puffies' to match."

If it helps anyone...I just recieved an E-mail from Universal Florida and it states that along with the May 21st opening; If you stay at ANY Universal Orlando resort for 3 or more consecutive days (which they have some great deals right now), you will get EARLY entrance into the park to ride Revenge of the Mummy.

This makes me really happy, since I'm already flying down to Orlando May 28th. I've kept my fingers crossed hoping it would be open then, and now I'll get to ride it :)

Also APH ert for mummy is may 21,22 from 7pm to midnight.Shrek,jimmy newtron,and twister will also be open.The rides between mummy and gate.
