Hey...does anyone know anything about the Mummy?

I have a trip to Florida planned for the first week of May. Do you think it'll be open??

Does anyone know when its going to open??

Anyone know layout or anything like that?? (loops, launched, etc?)

No loops. Launches (more than one, but not fast). Backwards sometimes. Special effects unlike anything ever seen. Surprise ending.

I don't know for sure, but I think it has been running for employee previews. If true, that could mean that it will be open by May.

They designed it to be better than Spiderman. I doubt anything can be better than Spiderman.

If there'd been employee previews of the attraction, it seems like there's little chance that we'd have not heard anything about it yet.

Maybe The previews are going to start soon. I wasn't paying attention when I heard that; I can't even remember where I read it. Maybe Screamscape...Ummm-If I read it on Screamscape, there is a chance that it isn't true at all (lol).

I wish I was still in contact with my ex-roomates/co-workers from Orlando, they would know. A few years ago they told me King Kong was going to close so that they could build a new coaster themed to The Mummy. This was way before the news was made public and of course I didn't believe them...

I'm going to FL next week for 2 weeks. Any luck they might do a soft opening?

Don't hold your breath. I can't even begin to fathom how challenging the programming of this ride must be, plus the conveyance system is from Premiere... not known for their rock solid prototypes. I'd say we'll be lucky if it even opens on time.

Employee rides haven't started yet, this girl in my speech class got to walk through the building (she works there) and said that they start in a couple of weeks

Having followed the progress *pretty closely*...;)....the earliest I would EXPECT that Mummy will be open is May 1.

I have talked with a few employees who have done the walk-thru, and, inverting or not, I think we'll be thrown for a loop....BORG Assimilator is gonna be "themed", huh....;)
