Survivors & Lifesavers, Longest Lift Fall Survived (page 36.) On 25 Jan 2000 US office workers Shameka Peterson and Joe Mascora fell 40 floors (121m, or 397ft) in four seconds in a lift at the Empire State Building, New York City, USA. The lift stopped just four floors from the ground, thank's to its safety mechanism, and Peterson and Mascora escaped with minor bruising.
Whoa, I wouldn't blame them if they **** their pants. They must have though they were going to die. I would freak out if this happened to me as don't trust lifts 100%, even less for old ones. Looks like the ESB needs to contact Intamin about magnetic brakes! :)
How would YOU feel if this happened to you?
The site - www.guinessworldrecords.com says you need Flash 5. My PC insists it has that, yet many sites say it doesn't! Stupid bugs, I'll get my wiz-cousin to fix it. Is it working for anyone?

BTW...ever stay at the Marriott World Center in Orlando? The elevators in the main tower ride the side of the building, and they are glass. You get a great view of the Kissimee SkyCoaster from them. Anyways, they are VERY fast elevators. Try jumping in those things! INSANE airtime!
