The Lost Kause Hersheypark day trip

This is interesting reading. I'm not germaphobic at all and I rarely get sick, as opposed to the people here who scrub down everything and pretty much apply hand sanitizer every half an hour. My antibodies kick your disinfectant's butt.

Because I was too tired at the end of the day to walk into guest service to tell them the good and bad about my day there, I wrote a short e-mail to the park. Speaking about the waterpark situation and they sent me a canned reply about how they really care about moving their lines and how they realize that people don't want to stand in long lines and have to deal with heavy crowds while on vacation. I was thanked for my feedback. I wonder if my feedback is really going to help them to make new decisions on how to run the waterpark or not?

I also spoke about the closure of almost every attraction due to non-existent severe weather, but the reply said nothing about that. I bet they get a lot of feedback about weather closures, and they really have no good answers to offer. It probably has something to do with insurance, but of course they are not going to let "Joe Patron" in on that side of the business.

It was nice to get some kind of correspondence telling me that they at least read my grips and gratitude about my experience at the park, even if it was just copied and pasted into a reply e-mail.

The probable answer is no. It was a lost kause.

I do a fake sneeze in my hand, it soon stops them.

In the remarkably short term, it seems the germs will also be kicking the disinfectant's butt.

But then we'll develop stronger disinfectants and start the cycle over again.

We really need to get over it as a society.

On a less serious note:

And for someone like Krause who buys into the conspiracy theories and 'real' motive behind things...how can you not question the sudden push towards using these products? At the very least a money grab and the very worst a method for spreading germs...to sell even more product.
