The loop on Superman: KC?

I was looking at a picture of this awesome looking coaster, and I noticed that the vertical loop was massive. I was just wondering how tall it was. Anyone know?

Staind
About 135ft. from the ground to apex as was told to us at Fiesta Fest.

Really, I thought it was even bigger than that...

Yes, just as I thought. The loop is 160ft...according to people that were there for the opening of the ride.

here's just one thread about it:

It's amazing what you can find with the search option.

160 is impossible, how could a 170 ft tall drop result in a 160 foot loop? more like 140

...and tons of people here said that a drop past 90 degrees is impossible...

I don't know, but when people hear it from the co-creator of the ride it sounds pretty credible. I'm just going on what other people have said though. I haven't had the fortune to make it out west to ride coasters yet...let alone just make it out west. :)

I don't like your tone, chris...
BKF's loop is a 140 feet, the biggest in the world. S:KC's loop is smaller, but I don't know the height.

Current Favorite Coasters:
1)Raging Bull 2)Millennium Force 3)Medusa (SFMW) 4)Vertical Velocity (SFGAm) 5)Incredible Hulk, The
BKF might not be the biggest anymore... Superman KC opened after BKF therefore BKF's loop may have been the biggest before Superman KC opened
Didn't Walter or Claude state that the loop was 160 feet?
Rollercoaster DataBase list the loop at 114ft.

/s/
Viper @ Six Flags Magic Mountain has a first vertical loop which towers 144 FT high. The official site used to list the statistic 144, but after the revamp awhile back somebody forgot their numbers...
Batman is NOT the biggest anymore. It is either Superman Krypton or Viper.
Oh! and another thing. Superman Krypton Coaster's lift hill is 168 FT. Therefore, the drop must be smaller than the lift because of the dip and gradual turn into the banked drop. So the drop should be around 158 FT. How can a 158 FT drop lead into a 160 FT loop? It would be impossible. The 114 FT loop Roller Coaster Database.com lists is much more reasonable...

I believe someone saying saying at Fiesta Fest that the loop was 116' or 117' from the point where the track intersects at the bottom to the top most part of the track just under Superman's feet. The 135' distance is taken from the ground to the top most part of the ride also just under Superman's feet.

What is life without ups and downs!?!?
I was pretty sure that the loop is around 145-150 ft...which IS possible. The drop is about 160 ft., and the train pretty much crawls around the apex of the loop. BKF's is 135 ft. I believe, or around that.

BKF has a 165ft drop. SKC had around 160ft. So I would think BKF would win.

Okay, buy the 135 FT statistic isn't greter than Viper's 144 is it? No it isn't. And those two floor-less coasters never opened claiming the record for the tallest vertical loop either...
I do believe that Viper still has the highest loop ever (not the largest of course.) I also thought that Batman: Knight Flight had the largest loop (top to bottom) but that could be misinformation. That's all I heard during BKF's construction, though.

Off that note, I wonder if Superman's loop height counts, well, Superman. :) I remember hearing something about how they lost the height record to BKF and then decided to perch Superman up there as a little joke to get it back.

Bigger or not, SKC beats BKF by a loooong shot in my opinion... The quarry wall setting, the insane heartline roll on the right side of the train...
