The Legend and Holiday World

I haven't heard anyone talking about the Legend has anyone rode it. How is it? Also I'm planning a trip to Holiday World, what should I do and are there any ways to get discounts off of the entrance fee. Thanks for your help.

The buzz around it was heavy when it opened, and the enthusiast crowd loved it! I think the problem is that very little of said crowd lives close enough to ride it some more.

The Legend is great. i rode it Memorial day weekend. It had a few slow spots in the morning entering the helix but later in the day it rained and the spots dissapered. It is an awsome ride I just wish it was less than 13 hours away from me. It turned out to be my #1 wood. It has everything great air, 4 tunnels, strong laterals, air, big drops, air, even more laterals and did I mention the air. Plus the logo on the front of the train is killer.

I loved the LEGEND... Great layout, fast & fun ride! Combined with RAVEN, great one-two punch!

Actually, we should hear more about The Legend after this weekend. The ACE Coaster Con is at Holiday World right now.

I LOVE Holiday World, although I didn't love the Legend. Liked it, though. The biggest problem we (my wife and I) had with the ride had nothing to do with layout - cool, great visuals and laterals, and the LOUDEST tunnels you will ever come across (they built floors through them so the sound has no place to "escape" and it just reverberates) - it was with the restraints - they use what I call the staples. These are individual upside-down U-shaped lap bars with padding only on the top, not the sides where it's needed to protect your legs when you are experiencing those intense laterals (the Villain has the same system). A little too much discomfort for me. Having said that, the ride was fun, the Raven kicks major butt (much more fun than any woodie twice its size), the park is so clean and friendly, free parking, low admission, all the free soft drinks you can guzzle ... all in all a class act.

Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill.
On your way down pick up a Pepsi two liter somewhere near the area. The "Fantasy Cap" game locally (Southern Indiana area) has it's lowest prize being $10 off Holiday World. (I think it's $10)

Thanks, Package2001!!

Now I REALLY want to go since I will be in the Cincinatti area this summer.

BTW are Sunday crouds in July that bad?? I know weekends at the big parks are hell, but is HW off the beaten path enough to be worth it on a Sun. in July?

Gotta ride 'em all!
Lines are NEVER really bad, as in the longest I've ever waited in the 14 years I've visited the park is probably 45 minutes for the Raven during it's first season. Sunday is usually a pretty
good day.

For your best rides on both the Legend and the Raven, wait until it gets late and dark (if the park is open that late in the summer...) They give KILLER night rides.

Sweet! July 9 will be my only chance to go this year, but I have to convince my mother to let me have the rental car for the day. I hope I can make it, I hope to see some CoasterBuzzers there too.
