Spring Break/The one week they run two trains on all of the rides
I always say September (and even early October) in Florida is actually worse for heat than June.
June will be hot to very hot. But "Surface of the Sun Swamp Ass Season" (TM) typically runs from July through the end of September.
Yeah, I tend to label it late July to early September. I don't hate it, but by the end of August I'm still pretty done with it. It's still pretty warm before and after that period, but with less humidity. And of course, if you get out to the coasts, which benefit from the water regulating things, it's definitely a little more comfortable.

I've done Disney in May, June, August, late-September to early-October, November, and December. August was definite swamp ass and June was pretty close. That September-October week was only slightly less hot but the humidity was off the charts. I declared my trip last May swampy and locals here said I was nuts. Masks probably made it feel worse and, in my defense, a radio guy announcing the weather one day called it "gross". November and December had some wild swings in temperatures, but they were pretty delightful for the most part.
Even though I have been down here now for 14 years, my tolerance for swamp ass season is still far lower than most. It's usually Halloween before I think it's genuinely comfortable, and by mid-April I won't want to go to the parks before dark. I'll take those rare Florida winter days with highs in the mid 50s every time over anything Florida summer has to offer.
But it's still better than real winter.
I agree with the sentiment of Kumba having that "punch" that the newer B&Ms do not have. It is my favorite B&M looper. I still remember riding it 83 times on Christmas day in 2005.
I was never a fan of Hulk. It was fun but I felt it was way overrated. Have not been on 2.0 so can't compare.

I don't believe they changed or reprofiled anything about Hulk 2.0... Some changes to support/track spine depth combos and such, but the profile itself is identical unlike it's Transformer cousin overseas which did get a bunch of reprofiling.
Also, Hulk 2.0 feels/rides just like 1.0... It's not smoother or any less rattley on most days. I was expecting a big difference when it first opened, but got off and basically thought "Wow, well that's unfortunate". Rode it a few times since and it just always rides like it always did. I was somewhat hoping/expecting the rattle would have been greatly improved with the new track/trains, but no such luck.
I still like the ride (especially the first half). But otherwise, I can take it or leave it. I really wish Dragons got the 2.0 treatment while Hulk got the wrecking ball :P
The best thing about Hulk is it’s imposing presence as guests enter the park, and it’s a good reason to keep it around (as opposed to tearing it down and starting over).
I really enjoyed the launch and the high looping parts of the ride. But later there’s a horrible transition into a corkscrew element then it’s downhill from there. If there’s a long line I won’t bother to ride.
It launches faster than it used to, that's for sure. But the lateral shaking can't be a design or quality problem. No other B&M has that. It's gotta be maintenance.

I used to think it was poor design, but when it happens in the middle of the vertical loop, I tend to agree. And I have had enough good rides on both Hulk 1 and Hulk 2 where the potential for a good ride is there.
When I think about to overhaul that takes place on each train every offseason on the B&Ms at Cedar Point, I have to wonder how often (or how seldom) that type of detailed overhaul is done on a Hulk (or Kumba or Kraken or Dragons #rip) train. I've had crappy rides on Raptor and Rougarou, but it's the exception rather than the rule.
I’ve always wondered why they don’t purchase an additional train so that they are always rotating one off for rehab. I am pretty sure they run 2 trains during the “off season” but can’t confirm. My ride earlier this month was really good with no shakes so I think I may have gotten a ride on a refurbed train?
I want to say Hulk 1.0 did have four, but I could be wrong.
Montu and Kumba both had four trains in their prime so one be on refurb and they could still run three. Now it takes Winter or Spring Break or a capacity crowd weekend for them to even run two, so I am assuming the fourth became a parts donor.
