Ok, so after watching Kingda Ka and Balin for a while, I decided to go see Kingda Ka. Yea, I know, it isn't open yet. (I was the first guest who made it past the main construction area)

Unopened yet, the guests areas look AMAZING. The theming in the area is much more than I ever expected. The fact that it was raining today also added to the Chinese-rainforest / bamboo-forest feel of the area. Fantastic job.

These carvings are on each light-post in the queue line.

View of Kingda Ka from the queue line, at one point. (the queue line is extremely long, but doesn't box up like Dragster does. It's extremely long, running parallel to the ride, so you don't see the same thing 18 times before you move on to a new area)

If you can find me a hosting site that is at least 25mb, or a video hosting site, it'd be great. All the ones I've found have a catch of some sort, so they all suck.

Found a good host for me to use? :P
The theming looks so good that people just might forget what park they are visiting. I haven't seen it in person yet, but it looks to me that the theming is on par with Busch.
Wow! Ummm...Okay i'll finally say it. "I am excited!"
Thanks for the pics.
Okay... I hate crowds... I hate waiting in line... therefore, Great Adventure is not one of my favorite places.
However... I don't mind getting wet. I got soaked last year on a rainy day at Carowinds, but got lots of rides (all walk ons). Yeah, the rain was a pain, but the lack of lines was well worth it.
That being said... what is Great Adventure's operating procedure on rainy days? Some parks (Carowinds, Knoebels) run in near down pours with only lightning or high winds stopping their coasters. Other parks (Hersheypark) will run in a light rain, but in a moderate to heavy rain they will basically shut everything down. What approach does Great Adventure take?
(I may have to wait for a rainy day to take a vacation day and head down there if it is business as usual for them in the rain)

I have been on rides there in the pouring rain. The only things that close the coasters are thunderstorms and very high winds. But some flats will close in the rain because the ride platform gets very slippery. The park has closed down in the past do to bad weather but then they will give u free passes as well as a few exit passes.
