The Hurricane at Myrtle Beach

I was fortunate enough to get 3 rides on this great coaster last summer. This is one incredible CCI. I was wondering if any Coaster Buzzers are planning on fitting this coaster in their itineraries this year. If you can, do try to ride it....I haven't seen a lot about The Hurricane here on Coaster Buzz, but trust me, it is worth the trip. Definitely a "Category 5" ride.

I remember this coaster, nice camel hops and lateral G's.

We've done plenty of rides on the Hurricane, since it's our "home coaster". This past summer it was a nice addition, before the only real coaster we had was J. Miller's Swamp Fox. Poor Swamp Fox now, if you go to Myrtle Beach please ride it! Not enough people rode it this last year ( because of the Hurricane ) to really make it run right.

When Hurricane first opened I would bet on it that the ride was more intense. On the trip through the first helix, it felt like the skin on your face was going to get ripped off. Not that you're not moving now or anything, it just seemed more intense in the beginning. The blue train is faster than the red train, too.

We loved this ride! Rode it last May - of all the 2000's we hit - MF, Legend, and Villain included - this was our favorite. The helices are so intense, and the trackwork so tight, that it felt even faster than MF at some points. Definitely an overlooked coaster; of course, being a little out of the way probably has something to do with it.

I rode this coaster last year, and I LOVED it! A

This was my first (and currently only) CCI, and I must say, I was impressed by how smooth this ride was, and the insane laterals. Nice addition to the Pavilion.
