The only difference between stupidity and genius is genius has limitations.
It was rumoured that Vekoma wanted to give away the HHS for small money, as a "bonus" for buying ODYSSEY, and to finally get it on the market.
Vekoma knew at this point that the HHS was a dead concept. The cable mechanism prooved to be unreliable. The capacity is small and the ride itself was not all that spectacular due to the low speeds at which the cars had to traverse the top of the towers.
It certainly didnt help the image of the HHS when Intamin took the idea, reversed it and built the HALF PIPE in Finland. It works with lim (and it actually WORKS), looks way better and has a slightly better throughput.
The final deathblow came when ODYSSEY prooved to be just another ambitious Vekoma desaster on wheels. Which park would willingly pay for getting a highly complicated ride that has an aura of trouble writen all over it?
