I have a choice of either going to the Great Escape or SFNE. I was wondering which park that you think is better.
-------------
Depends all on your cup of tea and whom you are going with.
Facts are facts... The Great Escape has more rides, is larger in size, and has much better landscaping and themeing than Six Flags new England... but what is it you are looking for in a park?
X-treme thrills? Flat rides that spin and flip you? The Six Flags New England will be your best bet. They have more rides that'll thrill you.
However, if you are looking for more calming rides, just plain flat spin & pukes, plus the #1 rated wooden coaster in the world... The Great Escape is your key.
If you are just going to ride the rides and not adorne the scenery or visit the attractions, then Great Escape is not for you. They have a great Jungle Land, Ghost Town, & Miniture Village that is great to just run through. They have a lot of non-flat rides such as 2 train rides, swan boat ride, Tornado indoor classic car ride, a top notch log ride & river rapids ride...
...but lack in the coasters department.
...but also lack in the X-treme flat rides department...
Six Flags New England offers the only Huss Fly Away, and the (in some people's opinion, but not mine) #1 rated Steel coaster, Superman.
It's like comparing Apples to Oranges. Depends on your tastes!!
What is your #1 Steel Dawg Byte? Your track record doesn't show S:RoS@SFNE. It is a very different ride from the version you've ridden at SFDL. I hold it a #1 above MF and Nitro.

Reaching for my 100th in 2001, currently 4 short, I guess I should have ridden more clones and boomerangs. NAAAAAHHHHH!!
My #1 is by far & wide Millennium Force. I like the sheer speed, height, and et. all.
I will be hopefully visiting Six Flags New England later this year when I hit that general area, but I don't think I'd even admit it to myself that their Superman is better than SFDL's Superman just because SFDL is my homepark.
