Nice site design. I can't wait to see what changes they make once they get hired for a coaster. :)

Cool name.

Looks like LoCoSuMos are back on sale. Nice. They should pitch one to Larry Mackenzie immediately as in last week. With the quiet eleveator lift and convoluted layout, it would be a perfect fit for KCS-MOA.

In the meantime, we'd love to buy tees and caps with the new logo...

Nice to see the LoCoSuMo cars are still being produced.

If only they'd make a full-sized version.

One of the designers is a grad from my college, that is so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For them, I think I'd stand outside their office with a sign, "will work for rides"....:)

Which School CoasterAddict?

--Josh (Happy to see his friend Mike back in the business)

Yeah what school CoasterAddict? My sister goes to Ohio Northern and I've been there many times, so I thought it was pretty kool that one of them went there.

*Edit* I forgot to say that Akron University is no more than 10 miles away from me, lol. Ohio Northern is about 2 1/2 hours away. But none of them went to Kent St,:(, lol. I live less than 5 minutes away from there. Oh well.

As for the logo, it looks pretty kool, but i like the slogan better. Like Mamoosh said:

The boys are picking up right where they left off. Hopefully small parks will have the same fondness for GG's product, as they did for CCI's.

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

When it comes time for opening day on the first GG woodie, I will be there. Doesn't matter where. Doesn't matter when.

Any bets on where the first will go?

Kinda like to get my travel plans firmed up....

Read carefully guys. The one thing that GG is not offering to do is build roller coasters. I'm guessing that the reason is they lack to working capital to function as a contractor. They are limiting their services to engineering. Hopefully they will be able to find someone to align themselves with who can handle the construction end.

True enough Jim.....also thinking they may decide to stay away from the consruction end altogether based on where they saw the "headaches" while working at CCI. I sincerely hope this doesn't turn out to be the case, because the more "involved" GG is with the construction phase, the more likely we are to get the best possible "product" as an outcome...

-----------------
If you're not watching "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart", you're just watching the news....

As I'm very new to the whole enthusiast thing, I have a question. Was the genius of the CCI creations in the design or in the construction? I realize that both are critical components of creating a masterpiece (ahh, Cornball) but it seems to logical to assume that you can't build a great woodie without a quality design. Of course, poor construction makes a good design worthless....

Because the GG guys have earned their reputations by the quality of their rides and not by the beauty of their design, I'd guess that GG will be very closely involved during all phases of construction, even if it is subbed.

IBsteve - I agree. It would seem to be in their best interest to make sure their designs get constructed with the highest of quality.

BTW...did anyone else notice that computer graphic track designs looked very GCI-ish? Or is it just me?

Moosh - who thinks the first GG coaster will go to Del Grosso's in 2003 [just a guess, no firm rumors or info to back it up].

Del Grosso's? I'd hope the Waldameer project would come through first!

But both are close to the 'rentals, so it's all good.

chris - the reason I picked Del Grosso's over Waldameer is that the Erie park has faced multiple hurdles over many years and are still having problems getting the coaster approved.

Del Grosso's, on the other hand, has a ton of money, plenty of room, and would probably face little to no opposition from the community. The fact that they've wanted to add a wood coaster for some years is no secret.

Again, I have no basis for this other than my own hunch. The chances of me being right are pretty slim.

I know Ravine Flyer 2 ever happening is a real long shot, but I just have a gut feeling that whatever appears in that spot would be awesome.

I had no idea they wanted a woodie at Del Grosso's, but I'm pretty "out of the loop." :)

I wonder if these guys will be contracted to oversee the finishing touches on the coaster at Cliff's?
