I've never encountered arrogance on any of my visits to CP (or really any other park to be honest). What I do notice quite often is that the crews at Cedar Point have tremendous pride for the rides they work and to a slightly lesser degree for the park they work in. Those crews are proud of the number of people they get through those lines and proud of their rides to the degree that they often joke about other rides and stuff like that. It's rare to find someone being rude right off the bat to a guest. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but it doesn't happen often. Usually percieved rudeness is provoked by someone doing something stupid. Ride ops and other guests should not have to deal with people who don't follow the rules and if a guest is acting like a complete moron, he might just get treated as such. Everyone else around probably will apreciate it too...
When I walk through the gates at CP, I don't feel arrogance - I feel energy and excitement. Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that everywhere you look, there is usually a coaster train flying by and or another train heading up the lift. I get the chills when I hear Raptor roaring by practically constantly as I walk by. Something about five minute dispatch intervals and chain lifts without any trains on them at other parks just doesn't do the same thing for me. I took pride in capacity as an employee because I know what a difference it made and still does make to me as a guest. I won't forget the day we pumped 23,094 riders through Magnum's queues. I believe that might be a record for a coaster running three trains at CP, but I am not sure. I know it beat 2000's highest by nearly 2,000 people.

I agree with PittDesigner on how if this park were located somewhere like Idaho it would be a world class park out there. But I definately disagree with you saying Sfwoa doesn't live up to expectations. By looking at your top 3 coasters for each category, I can honestly say I really don't like your opinions.
So you agree with me then proceed to flame me because I prefer "weird" rides to tall and fast? And somehow the fact that I love Mantis, Wicked Twister and Thunderbolt makes my opinion worthless? Did you happen to notice a coaster on there from WoA? Last time I looked, the Villain was located in Aurora ...
I don't think WoA lives up to what it should for the area. There's a basic strategy in business called marketing. Its simply that you try and put your product in the most favorable location possible where its competition will be well below it. It is widely accepted that Mid to East Ohio and into Western PA is one of the best park areas in the world. If you are going to try and enter that market, you had better have planned out your strategy and hit the ground running. WoA tried to get into the fast lane doing 45 mph - and traffic is blowing past them at 80. "Hit the gas" a little more and they can easily catch up, but until they do, they're just getting lost in the dust cloud ...
And I am damn proud of my top 6 coasters thank you very much and if anyone has a problem with that, contact me directly, don't flame me on this board.

5 coasters in two years isn't the fast lane?
Crappy service is where they are travelling too slow. Maybe they need some cruise control so that they can be a little more consistent.

You could hire enough construction companies to build an entire city in 2 years - does that make it better than New York or L.A. or Chicago? Doubt it. Number of coasters does not a park make - look at IoA, Kennywood or parks like Knoebels or Conneaut.
