During work today, while operating the Bel Aire, I met some great folks from GOCC, and had a nice conversation with them. Thanks to Steel Venom being down, I got to leave early, and come back to the park as a guest to ride.
My first ride of the night was Head Spin, which I worked earlier in the day. Not that bad, but after running it most of the day, riding it is only ok. Plus, it is just a boomerang.
Next up I headed to Big Dipper, which was closed, so I moved on to try to get to Dominator. On my way there, I ran into the GOCC folks, and went with them back to Dipper, and it was running again when we got there. That ride was AMAZING! The airtime was some of the best I have ever had! How did that ride ever run without the seat-belts?
After that we went on Dominator, which wasn't bad, but the real fun was on Villain. 2 rides, and it was also amazing! Second ride, which was in the second to last row, was just simply great! Speed was there, and those drops were great.
Best part of the night was just hanging out with the GOCC members. They were lots of fun, and I think I now want to join that club.
This probably isn't the greatest TR to read, but I decided to write it to tell people how much fun can be had in about an hour (a little more) at Geauga Lake, even when you work there!
