The Flying Coaster @ SFEG

So, is The Flying Coaster going to be up by late May or no? I was just curious if they were actually on schedule or not. I am wondering because I might be heading up to Denver in the end of May and thought it would be cool if it was open. I've never been to Denver, so I will definitely hit up SFEG.

This part isn't coaster related, but I need some more help. If you are from Denver, how hard is it to get a hold of Colorado Avalanche playoff tickets? I've been a fan ever since they moved to Denver. I would be wanting to get hold of some Western Conference Finals tickets when they will play the Red Wings or the Blues. (I figure they will get by the Sharks) Anyway, how available are they and how expensive are they? Any info would help. Thanks.

The structure has been completed... Screamscape has pics.

I don't see why the ride wouldn't be open by the end of May.

The ride is complete, I was there on Sunday and the only thing they have left to do is build the queue and finish the station. It should be open by late may, if not sooner!

Good luck on those Ave's tickets, you will need a small fortune! We won game 7, we going all the way again!

Avs goin all the way? Not if the Red Wings have anything to say about it. :)

But to stay on topic, it looks like the screamscape site is down, so the pics are temporarily unavailiable... or maybe its just me. I dont know.

What you want to do is contact the Pepsi Center as soon as the Avs beat the Sharks and see if you can get tickets through them. I believe season ticket holders have the first dibs and the ones they do not take are up for the public to scramble for. If you can't get the tickets from the Pepsi Center then try ticketmaster and some last choices are Ebay and scalping. Good luck and from my point of view I have to say Go WINGS!

P.S. Have fun on the Flying Coaster!

You can't spell S:UF without UF....Go Gators! Let the pretzel loop tie you in knots...

I think the coaster will be open by memorial day, or possibly the weekend before.

And as far as hockey goes:
RED WINGS SUCK!!!

Koppman - make sure to visit Lakeside while your there, and if possible try to go around sunset and take the train around the lake. Lakeside is by far one of the prettiest nighttime parks with a TON of classic neon, especially the Cyclone station.

Ok, so this isn't related to coasters, but

GO BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, hockey and coasters. Two of my favorite subjects. I know several people that have gone to one of the playoff games this year, but most of them had season tickets or knew some of the "insiders." Try to listen to the radio, AM 950 is giving away tickets everyday. Sorry I couldn't be more of help.

Have fun, I can't wait to ride The Flying Coaster!

Cool. I'm glad it will be open by then. Also, thanks for all the suggestions about getting tickets. I live in Phoenix, but hopefully I'll be able to call and can snag a few tickets without paying an arm and a leg. I'll be sure to start calling as soon as the Aves take care of the Sharks. I wouldn't want to be in Denver and miss the opportunity to see the Aves kick the crap out the Red Wings! :)
Also, thanks for the suggestion Mamoosh. I'll be sure to check out Lakeside. Is that a couple hour event or a half a day thing? I've never heard of it, so I'm assuming it is just a small park.......

Lakeside isn't that small of a park, well, in comparaison to SFEG. It doesn't usually open till like 12 or 1 in the afternoon. If you are coming to Denver though, you must go to Lakeside. They are a very old fashioned park and probably havn't added a ride in at least 5 years, probably more. But they have the Cyclone, a old classic woodie. It doesn't take long to go through all of Lakeside, it doesn't get much support and the lines are short.

Yeah, make sure you hit Lakeside. It's a nice, little park with a classic woodie, a strange little wild mouse, and a kiddy coaster. Lakeside usually doesn't open until a little later in the day but a lot of time isn't needed. It's just nice to support a park that doesn't get that many visitors.

But I think it look like a neat little coaster. Hopefully it turns out to be a great ride.
