Hell yes! Snappable without even trying ;)

Oh, and FYI Paramounts Carowinds is usually abbreviated PCar so as not to be confused with Paramounts Canada's Wonderland, which is abbreviated PCW.

:) i was wondering what PCar stood for....

I have also seen PCow used as well.

Or you could just skip the dang abbreviations and make life easier for everyone. Leave off the Paramounts too. All you need is Carowinds or Canada's Wonderland. Is there really confusion between Paramount's Carowinds and that other Carowinds?

Hmmm, the Flyers weren't at Carowinds last year. They were just added this year.

I think he meant to say he closed them down at PKI...best set of flyers outside of Knoebels!

bill, WAS happy to have never seen the abbreviation PCow....thanks Shaggy... ;)

Not really, The best outside Knoebels are at Lesourdsville Lake and Fun Spot

Fun Spots used to be Fantasy Farms that was right next door to Lesourdsville.

Both not operating this year btw.

Fun Spot's *were* really good, never got on LeSourdsville's....the main reason I prefer KG's and Paramount's is that I've had more practice on those...and snapping IS an art that requires practice.

But there's NOTHING like a good run of tub-bouncing fun! :)

^LOL!

The Fun Spot's were insane, especially when Carol took over!

I am not sure which ones I like that best (I am still a snapper-in-training..lol) but Stricker's was crazy. I still feel sorry for those trees!

Thanks everyone. And by last year I meant at PKI for that dreadful...gasp...last night the rides were open. Good to hear they still operate the same, which begs the question to me. Exactly why did Paramount change the locations of the ride to another park, if it will be operated in the same manner?

The main thing Carowinds did to the Flyers (besides the new paint scheme) was installing a new motor. The PKI version had a 25hp motor and Carowinds installed a 40hp motor with dynamic braking. The ride will still maintain the same speed with the 40hp motor as it did with the 25hp motor but the ride stops quicker.
Does anyone really know though why the ride was moved from park to park? why couldnt PKI just add this new motor and paint scheme and keep it there? Was there a new area added to Car?

Or buy a new version from Larson for Carowinds and keep the Kings Island ride where it was and save on the cost of tear down and transport while keeping the ride count up at Kings Island.

What's next? The carousel sold off horse by horse and replaced with a fiberglass Chance model?

Why don't u just say

Kings Island, Kings Dominion, Carowinds, Great America, Wonderland. Now i know this is better because all of the locals im pretty sure say Hey lets go to Paramount Canada's Wonderland today, No, They say "lets go to wonderland". Everyone knows what it means and same with sixflags im sure the locals drop the sixflags part and just call it magic mountain or darien lake or whatever the park is. Then again some peole drop the name and call the park Sixflags. There like "lets go to sixflags" not knowing theres other ones in existence. Anyways i never here people mention the Paramount infront of the parks, we all kno its there just too much to say unless im on the internet or something.

I think saying "Let's go to Six Flags" is what Six Flags had/has in mind. They want to create a brand as if you are going to out for fast food. For instance, way back in the olden days, Great Adventure was in large lettering with Six Flags in tiny print. Now it is reversed. All the parks seem to share a common logo with those flags. Personally, I find it irrating. I like to visit places that have some regional identity and are some homgonized corporate brand. That's one positive aspect of Cedar Fair parks, they don't plaster "Cedar Fair" over everything and aside from some common elements and sharing of ride names, the parks seem to have kept a distinct identity.
^ No offense. But you got on a thread talking abougt Wonderland, I would have no clue what you were talking about. My first impression would be that you were thinking about Wonderpark, the home of the amazing Boa Squeeze :)
Since we're nitpicking. :p

The official nomenclature is Paramount's Carowinds and Paramount Canada's Wonderland.

The possessive apostrophe is a different place on each name.
