When exiting rides like the Viper and Shockwave at SFGAm you are required to go through a gift shop to completely exit the line. Is it me or are they trying to get you to purchase gifts? Do any other parks do this type of marketing ploy?
Disney does it on the big rides. Also at PKI does on a couple of rides. CP they don't do it but just past the exit there is the on ride photo place.
Superman: Ride of Steel at Six Flags Darien Lake. Wow, that was cheesey. Of course, I did buy a T-shirt and the on-ride photo (click info), so I guess it worked!

I think that PKI did when you exited the King Cobra, but since they turned Adventure Village into Action Zone, the King Cobra's exit is now next to an ice cream shop.

When I went to MGM, and Universal Studios in Florida, they both did that trick. Some examples would be Rock N Rollercoaster at MGM and Twister at USF.
If you ask me, they know what their doing. Its called smart business. True it may be cheesy and annoying but it works. And why would they try to get you not to pruchase stuff?

The new Batman Knight Flight at Six Flags Ohio requires you to walk through a Batman gift shop and photo booth... Very clever. Looks really nice and should be pretty profitable. Of COURSE, they do this on purpouse Chitown!

See yah this summer at Six Flags Ohio!
I don't know because at SFGAm if Viper and Shockwave have gift shops at the end, then why doesn't Raging Bull. It's more popular that both of those. I really doesn't matter to me, I just want to get out and back in line
Yeah while leaving Dr. Doom's Fear Fall at IOA you have to go through the arcade.
But on Hulk all they have is the on-ride photos. I was also surprised they do not have on-ride photos for Dueling Dragons.
PKD does this with Volcano. Dorney has the exit of the park thru a gift shop as well.
