Hate to break it to you Dan, but Carrie won't be ger-giggity-gooing anyone's ger-shmoygen around here, legal or not.

But you like it when you get along, agree and others validate your point of view, correct? We can't all be on the same wavelength. It would be boring.)
No, not necessarily. I like debate and discussion, especially when there us logic and intelligent discussion involved. Unfortunately, it seems most of the discussion around here is just talking in circles, and people taking offense to the littlest things.
Mike, Billy, Jay, and other friends, I appreciate your kinds words. Things have changed for me. It's not the site or the people on it. I've changed. "It's not you, it's me." :)
But seriously, my reactions to things lately have me thinking it's time. Life's too short to keep spending time at things you aren't really enjoying.
I've met some great people, made some awesome friends, and I'm grateful. I'm sure I'll still see you on the midways and in other avenues. But not in the forums. :)

It's been like this for me lately too.
But unlike Carrie, I'm convinced it's not me.
(we might want to move this line of conversation back over here because it all applies and my post there still resonates with my current thinking - at any rate, it seems more than a few of us are feeling it, so something has changed)

But that's the point, Josh. We all don't communicate and express ourselves (especially in a forum, not the best communication place) the same. My words may seem ludicrous and stupid to one person, but make sense to another (usually only me, I know). Either way, it is what it is.
I have to take my hat off to Jeff and the others that keep this place pretty... relaxed. "Clean." Look at some other forums - they are so damn full of crap, and 3rd grade language. Even thought I don't always agree (including with some rules) it is what is is.
And it wouldn't be the same with out you, Josh :)
Take a week off (or more), then come back.
What the **** are you talking about? :)
There's an ebb and flow to how things go around here, both for individuals and for the site as a whole. After 11 years, I've seen it happen over and over. It's just how it goes. I wasn't really feeling it in 2009, and I really wasn't feeling it last year. This year, I am, especially with all of the shiny stuff coming next year.
Let's be honest, roller coasters are a diversion at best for most of us. CoasterBuzz never was frequented by the hardest of the hard core, and that was kind of the point. The hobby, the site, the people you meet (or avoid)... it's all whatever you want it to be. What it probably isn't is something to take too seriously.

.Again, Cedar Point has paid lip service to the family demographic over the years but I don't see them putting their money where their mouth is. Dinosaurs might appeal to the 2-12 year old set but that attraction at another $5 per person is going to be a temporary success...if at all...in my opinion.
BINGO! We have a winner! Cedar Fair parks are not family parks. They are thrill ride parks with kiddie rides. Few intermediate rides that anyone can ride regardless of age and height. The paddlewheel is one of those few rides at CP.
Paramount was just as horrible about catering to the thrillseeking demographic plus kiddie rides. Its all fine, but they are missing out on the majority of the population when they went this direction.
Boy I think this place needs a giant tissue!! Suck it up and stop the whining!! There will be no taking the ball and leaving .
No special editing or anything here. But...
On ride video 9-5-2011 during the day
I also have an on ride video of the 2nd last Auction ride at night. Somehow I inadvertently uploaded the same video twice. I will re attempt to upload it tonight.

Before anybody busts Jason's privates...
Paddlewheel is one of the few rides at Cedar Point where on-ride photography is...okay, was...explicitly permitted.

I've filled out a comment form on CP's official site aswell as commenting on their Facebook. I hope EVERYONE complains about this now! Maybee, just maybee it's not too late...Didn't SFGam save the Whizzer over a public outcry after the announcement of it's removal?
Whizzer was only saved because Shockwave essentially destroyed itself that fall.

Thanks Dave. It is also allowed on Space Spiral and CP&LE Railroad

Not so sure about that. Shockwave had the lowest ridership at the park - and ironically, the highest capacity.
Paddlewheel - Wow, didn't know until today, but seat belts! You're kidding me.
Nope. It a joke. The captain loves to watch gullible people look for their seat belts.
