One case in point, the Cajun Cliffhanger accident at GAm. The rules explicitly stated no sandals or bare feet. The girl took off her sandals and rode the ride barefoot, which ultimately led to the "ability" of her toes to get caught between the wall and the floor. She and her family was able to get a settlement from the park....

She didn't ride barefoot and actually had shoes on which you can see in this picture: http://abclocal.go.com/wls/features/032902_picture_sixflags3.html

Jesus. I can't believe I haven't seen those before. I cannot understand how her foot got lodged so deep between the wall and the floor...

Without the chaindog, you'd never get up the lifthill...

Damn!!! I had never seen those before. OK...I offically take back all of my previous comments on this. ... well, other than the part she did not follow the ride signage stating not to put your feet on the wall, as she obviously did that...

How in the hell? That looks like sometting off of rotten.com

Is this why the rotor at GADV does not raise the floor after the ride?

God bless Intamin, Company that I love. Stand beside her, and ride her, from the opening to the closing of the day.

SFGAm used to raise the floor about half way up then you used to slide the rest of the way down. However some ride ops brought it all the way up which would sort of smash your legs upward a bit and could possibly cause that if your toes were pointed.

Whoo boy, this topic is all over the place... sort of.

Anyway, this rotor ride reminds me of those old Coney Island rides back in the day that looked (and probably) were fairly dangerous. But that was before the days of heavy litigation, I suppose. Is the rotor even there anymore? I can't imagine them lasting many more years if they are.

Is that a Q-bot in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

Cajun Cliffhanger at SFGAm is gone, but I just saw one a few weeks ago when I went to Worlds of Fun in Kansas City (a CF Park)
