The Dr. Seuss Driving Machines at IOA

The sidewalks in Suese Landing as well as the other islands are fragile and therefore large vehicles are not allowed to be drivin on these areas. They are made of styrophome.
It's not evacuation, it's the very poor capacity. How do you guys think Ptyronadon Flyers ( sp) evacs?

djhush...I think it's time for you to "hush" yourself. Not to be mean, but I've noticed that you've been playing moderator in all of the threads that even remotely *seem* like rumors. If theres one thing I hate it's when people play moderator. I don't wanna sound like a moderator here, but let the real moderators do their jobs.

Sorry if I sounded rude...;)

Call me SpongeBobAlex.

By saying this its almost like saying they should never run a roller coaster because if it valleys they might have to get out a cherry picker to get the people.

I've been under the influence on a ride or two, but it never prevented them from being operational ;)

It makes me sad everytime I go to IOA that there is no activity in that station-almost like seeing an SBNO coaster. As far as Patman007 not liking it, he's also the guy who says there is no reason to go to Holiday World, so take that for what it's worth.

Why do you have to have a license to own a dog, but not to have a child?

First off, djhush, shut up. I don't need you telling me what I can and can't talk about on somebody else's site.

Bubba- As I was told by my Universal buddy it's the pavement below the ride, not the ground. It's either too soft and will bow, or it'll crack under the weight of anything more than people or food carts, etc. I don't know any other specifics.

Is this the ride that is held up by seemingly impossible supports around that area? I wondered about that a bit when I was there for the IAAPA thing last year (with two of the TGG engineers, coincidentally, who make you wonder about all kinds of things).

Keep in mind that such a ride doesn't have gravity. Pteranadon Flyers won't stop anywhere after a loss of power.

....but what if gravity suffers a power loss.....j/k....;)

Okay, I am the P-flyers expert around here. The ride will stop on the block breaks fom time to time due to another RV being in the block in front of it. If something goes wrong and the breaks do not release, or if the advance wheels do not work, then a cherry picker is used to retrieve the stranded guests. Their is a concrete road in the backstage area that runs under this area as well as under the breaks at the end of the ride in which guest do not see. The cherry picker is parked on this road between Camp Jurassic and Tricertops encounter, behind some food stands across from JPRA.

Suese Landing, on the other hand has no secret backstage concrete road running under McBeans Driving Machines. The walkways under this ride are made of Styrophome and would take damaged from a heavy vehicle.
