The Coaster with most technical pomblems

What coaster coaster has the most brokens chains, screwed up brakes, and any other breakdown?

It's a close one,

1)SOB
2)Superman:The Escape
3)Volcano

Have you ever gotten the feeling that you've been here before? Six Flags Magic Mountain 2001...
Anybody want to venture a guess as to the odds of the Volcano doing a rollback? Once a week? More often? Less often? Has anybody here ever been on it when it happened? I've been on Volcano twice and the idea of rolling back down the mountain kinda freaks me out...

I'm going to mostly agree with simcoaster, but I'm also going to add B&R:The Chiller and Mr. Freeze to that mix. Those electromagnet coasters can be tricky. Where I disagree is with SOB being 1. I think that title *has* to go to S:TE. That coaster had all types of problems opening.
Well, I'd say The Bat would rnk pretty high, seeing as it need brakes repaired almost every week, many track and design adjustments, etc.

Outer Limits (or whatever its called now)
I was at PKD when Volcano rolled back unfortunately I was back near Grizzly so I didn't see it. It was closed the rest of the day though.

I was a couple trains away from being on a Volcano rollback. However, I do know someone on that train. Oh Dan, care to comment? :)

How about the coaster that doesnt run anymore due to complaints and operational problems. My guess would be the Windjammer.

The Bat at PKI. It had so many problems that it had to be removed before it ever really operated.

Everybody calm down, the coasters do not open for another fifteen minutes.
SOB certainly has the most maientence checks of any coaster I know. For some reason, they decided to do a track walk in the middle of the day. Of course, I was next in line to go. What could have been a 30 min. wait turned into an 1:15 wait! Come on PKI, you got the coaster, now maintain it!

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
I agree with 2hostyl. Superman:TE was scheduled to open in 96, but due to technical problems, didnt open till 97. They had a problem with the launch inwhich couldnt get up to their hyped 100mph. I should know, I went to the park trying to ride the thing.

Mr Freeze And Batman the chiller are in that same boat for opening late, too!
I know this is not a coaster but it has to be PERLIOUS PLUNGE it has to be one of the most downed thrill rides but I give it the S:TE with the first ever train tested went a whoping 1 MPH and coverd 5 feet! Incredible they have tammed it so much!

SOB didn't have that much technical problems, the reason it was closed for so long was due to the track. But rarely was it due to technical problems.

Wait... isn't track a technical problem? Engineering and construction sure are technical to me.

For some odd reason I am really interested in rollbacks. I have always wanted to be on one where I would be on a train that would just valley out in the middle of a course. I have been on a rollback; it was early spring of '99 when I rode Volcano with Sean Flaharty. Keep in mind this was very my first ride on a launch coaster EVER! Sean and I sat in the front seat and we didn't make it through the first inversion and we rolled back. Volcano is a great ride and it was always hold a very special place in my heart.

i was acutally going to write exactally what todd wrote parolous plunge with its opening late and the two chain breaks its been a real mess but its all good now and its a really great ride
This isn't a coaster, but Mr. Hyde's Nasty Fall at SFO.

When it was at SFGAm it had a major accident where the car broke off the lifting mechanism and fell down the shaft.

At SFO, it is operational 60% of the time, and gets stuck once every three hours (at least) at the top or on the run off.
