The Chiller?

Does anyone know if the The Chiller at SFGadv was open today? Im goin tommorow and i would really like to see it open..i really wanna ride it....I called them they said it was open and it would be open tommorow..but theyve been tellin lies for a while...does anyone kno the truth? alright thanks..Peace.

No Chiller wasn't open today, and its not looking good for tomarrow. Hopefully soon though!

IMO they need LIM's badly. They borrowed them from Batman side to operate Robin. Could someone tell me if it was open Friday night or today (Saturday).

Well... I hope they have it working by JULY!

well it was testing all day today, 5/11, so it and it passed 100 hours of testing s it should open soon.

I thinks it's going to open on Friday the 17th for Physics Day. That's when I'm going! I, not Coaster131(ha ha ha ha), will tell you how it is FIRST!

nitro230ft....most likely, you'll see it runnig friday. The only problem is, those runs will be TESTS! Muah hahahahahahaha! You sux0rz, you sux0rz!!!!!

Anyways, now that I'm off my high horse, I will now say that I am working both Saturday, 12-8, and Sunday, 10-6. I'm gonna go early on Saturday just to ride Chiller. IF it's open, that is. I mean, the way I see it is that I'm gonna ride it sooner or later, so why worry so much as to when exactly it's gonna open?

Also, they didn't borrow from Batman's track for Robin last year. All the problems that Robin was having was that the trains weren't ready on time. They were supposed to be at the park July 4th last year. They got there the end of August or early September. It opened the weekend before CCVI last year, pretty much in the amount of time expected...2 weeks after recieving. It had to be tested and inspected. Nothing is wrong with the LIMS on Robin.

Batman has been having a few problems with the spike LIMs. The train is making complete runs now, though. the LIMs have been fixed, but the ride has to go through a certain amount of testing before it can open to the public.

Also, when Batman opens, don't expect Robin to open with it. The robin train is sitting in one of the maintenance buildings in the employee area of the park. It isn't even a train yet, lol.

I just got back from SFGAdv. They weren't even testing Chiller today. I hope this isn't a rerun of last year. Oh well, at least the park was deserted until around 2 PM.

I wish the trains were dueling again. Imean, it is the worlds first DUEL track coaster. Batman can't save Gotham City without his trusty side kick, .......Alfred. Ha Ha H***

Accually, nitro, it's the world first DUAL track LIM launch coaster. If you get technical, all non-mobius (almost all of them, then) racers are dual track coasters. Oh, and I think CCI claims the first dueling coasters with Twisted Sisters/Twins. I'm not sure the exact dates of the openings, but they are both sometime in '98.

I have been so busy with school and haven't been following in detail what is going on with Chiller. I just hope the problems are fixed, or at least minimalized so that the ride can open quickly.

Do you think It would be open by Memorial day wekend?!

I don't want to get your hopes up and have it shut down but the Batman side was running extremly well on 5/10 when I went and I think it should open this weekend or Memorial weekend so don't worry to much.

So when it runs, both sides will not run in sync with one another?

Both sides need to be running in order for it to be running in sync with each other. read my post above...Robin is sitting in maintenance as 5 separate cars.

Now, supposedly they've been re-routing power lines around the park in order for Chiller to launch together. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but it seems likely. i've seen them diggin up ground under Batman's lift hill and putting power lines in the ditch.
