Sept. 11th 2001, Slayer released God Hates Us All. The song "Disciple" uncannily describes the events of that day, as well as the antrax letters that followed.

Personally, I dont buy the whole "apples and oranges" argument. Just tell me, do you want an apple or an orange d@mnit! It's all fruit.
I think people that say that just dont feel strongly about many rides....and that's okay. Admittedly, for me, aside from like the top 20 and the bottom 3 all the rest are just in there. But it's not hard for me to name favorites.

On the other hand, I choose not to compare certain types of rides, because I liked Hypersonic for some reasons, I liked Batwing for other reasons, and I liked S:RoS for other reasons and I had fun on all of them in different ways.
So, I have my handful of favorite hypers (MF, PR, SFOS@NE, AC) and my handful of other cool rides (Batwing, Hypersonic, S:TE) and everything else just kinda gets lumped into the "pretty good" category.

The legend lives!
What I notice is this... Certain coasters stay at the number 1 spot (Phoenix for wood, Steel Force for steel), and certain ones stay in the "favorite spots" (but can change order)... certain ones stay in the "They're okay spots" (but can change order), certain ones stay in the "Not my favorite but I would re-ride spots" (but in different orders), one stays in the "ONLY if it is an absolute walk on... wouldn't waste my time otherwise spot" (BatWing), and one remains in the "Least favorite, wouldn't re-ride it if you paid me, thank goodness they tore at least the most painful parts of it and kept the best spot" (Steel Phantom).
I've been on WAY, WAY too many. Back when I did rank, I had a seperate steel and woodie list, which is pretty much the norm. The problem is that if I compiled up my top 20 steel list, there would be tons and tons of coaster that are 100% awsome, but wouldn't be on the list. I mean, Back when I first rode Alpengiest I ranked it as like, my number 4 or something. Problem is, now, it wouldn't be in the top 10. Has Alpie gotten worse? No, in fact I think its gotten better since then. I just think the whole thing's silly and trivial. I know what rides I like, I know what rides I LOVE, and that's all that matters to me.

Some days I want an apple, some days I want and orange, both taste good but I'm not about to confuse them. I'll be happy to talk for hours about coasters that I like and don't like; and about what I like and don't like about each coaster. I still find that ranking coasters just doesn't make sense.
However I can't resist watching a top 10 show on the tube and telling you why I disagree with their rankings.
Magnum-Magnum was great! (A+)
Villain- Villain was great! except for the a few weak spots.(A)
So Magnum would fall ahead of Villain in my rankings, even though I did not compare them directly. I don't say Magnum is better than Villain because "X." This still doesn't define were they sit though. In reality my ranking would look something like 1, 1, 3, 3, 3, 5, 5, 5, etc. if I were to think it all out.
