I went to PKI saturday and the beast is running 3 trains. The thing I noticed now is they time it so that when you are coming down the first hill you pass the train coming in from the helix. It is kindof cool that way but I liked it better when you were going up the first lift hill and you passed the train coming in and you could yell at them or whatever. Now they are already almost in the station when you are going up. But the thing is so that you pass the train coming in right you crawl up the almost the whole lift. I just wonder why they do this. It increases the actual ride 30 seconds or so. You used to go down the first hill and look over to see the other train cresting the second lift hill. Im just wonderin why they do this now
The train on the second hill has to clear the lift before another train can go over the first drop, The midcourse is no longer a block so no two trains can be in the mid section at a time.

Americana (Now called The great americana amusement park at Lesourdsville Lake) is opening in 2002. Indivdual visits are very improtant to the parks survival.
Beast rocks,
I also noticed this change and actually like it a bit more. I mean, I don't think I have ever been on a train, looking up at the first drop from below as a train went crusing by me. It also amazed me that they now dispatch one train as soon as one clears the first lift.
As it looks right now, the days of waiting in that long brake run for the train in front of you to dispatch may be going away or already gone.

Sean,
I noticed that increase in speed from opening weekend as well when I was there Friday night and rode four times. That night I waited no more than thirty minutes for a night ride in the fron row of The Beast at ten till ten. The ride was fast and awesome!
