I'm thinking the same thing....or close too. XFlight I saw your profile, u look familiar...don't know why! Have you worked at Geauga Lake before? Maybe I'm just crazy.

Yea, Ive been working at the park since 2001. I started at XF, then was ATL at RWB in 02, TL of RWB in 03, last year I was zone 3 supervisor which was western midway(villain to wolf bobs) and this season I'll be head sup of zone 1(XF, SV, HS that corner of the park).

Oh ok, I thought so, Good Job! Does anyone know how much of Thunderhawk has been primed?
From the recent photos some "in-line twist" track sections, and lifthill supports have been primed so far. More by now probably.

New pics were added yesterday. Thunderhawk's color scheme is starting to show (yellow and orange, as previously stated), the Legend train has arrived, and all of the slide parts have been removed from the former Hurricane Mountain.

The most interesting pic to me is the one of Raging Wolf Bobs. I thought it was going to be a regular retracking, but it looks like they're doing a lot more than that. I assume it is a rebuild as opposed to a re-profile? Either way, I hope it's ready opening weekend -- I can't wait to try it out!

Chances are RWB wont be ready for opening day unfortunately.

Has Huss ever produced a Ferris Wheel ?. I love seeing rides get a new coat of paint, I was kinda hoping they'd give a new scheme to Steel Venom, oh well maybe next year.

It was brought in from old Indiana, Or so I hear! Im not too sure about that source though. But Somewhere I heard it was bought from Old Indiana!

2006 - 2009 Cedar Fair Ride Operations
2009 - Walt Disney World Attractions.

Painting seems to be progressing on Thunderhawk & while the yellow supportslook good the orange track appears to be too dark for my liking.

I just hope that SFA uses a brighter orange color for their SLC which is also undergoing a paintjob that'll be using the same exact color scheme that GL happens to be using on T-Hawk.

It makes you wonder if parks actually have trademarks on paint schemes for their signature attractions or not... especially in the case of the superhero themed rides I wouldn't be suprised if some parks actually do.

It will end up looking pretty much like Kong, but with a shade lighter track. I liked how it looked back when I visited in 2001. The new scheme just doesn't fit in IMO.
I was wondering that myself Batwing , especially when it came to red blue and yellow for something like SUF or stuff like that, which is why I was hoping Steel Venom would get a new color scheme this year. Im glad T-hawk got a new one though, ME's light teal and dark red was/is very ugly IMO *** Edited 3/23/2005 2:21:21 AM UTC by P18***
I was discussing the same thing with my dad the other day. I think because the coasters were once associated with Six Flags and superheroes most likely a good majority of the rides will be repainted over the years. Although I think the scheme looks nice for T-Hawk.
^^Actually the teal & red looked very nice when the ride was brand new but the way it's been allowed to deteriorate over the past decade has obviously led to the entire ride looking like crap.
I dont wanna backtrack but I found the Americana Ride Operation Manual

It lists the Manufacturer as-Huss Manufacturing Co.

but that could be a mistake as later in the manual there is obvious references to the wheel at CP...

(i just read this again...there are a few mistakes in here...wow)
