Thanks Jeff and Steph for the report! TR:TR

It was great to read Stephanie's reaction to the ride. I love reading and hearing all the reactions! I believe I can speak for Sean F. when I say we were blown away.

I think enthusiasts will be pleasantly suprised by this. It is a "journey" from beginning to end. You really feel as though you have been somewhere when you come off.

The GP is eating it up. People were applauding at the ride's end. Oh and the screams!!!!!!!!

Bottom line, this ride suits PKI perfectly. They did an outstanding job and really deserve the accolades they will get.

Anyone concerned by expected forces, or drenching have little to worry about in my opinion. People who probably would not ordinarily go near this thing if it were outdoors were gettign on, riding and exiting only to hop right back in line.

We ran into a fellow coaster buff that said he usually could not stomach rides that twisted, flipped and spun. We ran into him when he got in line for his second ride.

That pretty much sums it up ;-)

Man it was a great day!

Shaggy

Could this be the ride that converts coaster rider only fans into flat-ride riders also? I certainly hope so.

The word "definitely" is definitely the most misspelled word on the buzz.
Yes and thank God all the controversey can now stop about TR:TR being a coaster!

If the shoe fits, find another one.

I still think it's a 4D coaster.

If the world was perfect, we would have a rollercoaster at every corner.

It is too a coaster!! It's clearly a B&M Dive Machine. Just look at the *spoiler* picture at PKI Guide. Duh!

No No No its a 400 foot tera that fits in a 90 x 90 x 80 building! It actually is underground for all but the station and it drops 400 feet underground. They made the building to make us think it was a top spin. That spoiler picture is a fake! Like the plans on SCREAMSCAPE! No but really I am not disappointed one bit. Anticipate really bad and be blown away I always do that.
D'oh! Just kidding! ;)

Yeah the reports were awesome! Thanks for adding another great part to the site!
Its one of those new Super Spaghetti Bowl coasters. ;) After a few years PKI is going to change the theme to Son of FoF.

WHY DON'T YOU BELIEVE ME ITS A TOTALLY UNDERGROUND TERA!
I've never been into whirl'n'pukes, they scare me bad. I'm 26 & can't even ride a ferris wheel without getting the fear. A Top Spin, in a room sounds like a nightmare to me, just like a Top Spin outside. I hope it does turn some people, & it's great something like TR:TR is now around for people.

Sure cant wait for my 2nd trip out to Kings Island. This looks like it will be a fun event :). Looking foward to meeting everyone at the events ;).

I am the fellow coaster buff that Shaggy mentioned at the beginning of this post. I usually try to stay away from all rides that spin or twist me around in repitition for fear of being sick and ruining the rest of the day. But, the actual ride portion of Tomb Raider , however intense as it was, did not even begin to make me feel sick. You're focusing too much on what's going on around you to even think about it. The effects are what make this ride so special! It seems to focus more on the diving and falling aspects instead of flipping over and over. Although you do hang upside down quite a bit. Overall I thoroughly was impressed with the ride and the outstanding job all at PKI has done with it. It is truly top notch, and in my opinion very re-rideable. Everyone riding it was having a great time.

JBeast! Great to see your post!

How was the rest of your evening? Catch anymore rides?

A.K.A. John K.

Hey Shaggy, thanks! Other than being just a bit chilly I had a great time. It was fun meeting up with you guys. After Tomb Raider I caught Flight of Fear 3 times (no waiting!!) and the flyers a few rounds.Just hung out most of the rest of the evening watching the crowd grow then headed back into the FestHaus with friends just trying to warm back up before I left.

I thought that the current building was going to be the warehouse for all the TR shirts and items to be sold, while the ride would be unknowingly elsewhere

Try Flight of Fear version 2.0: It's great!

jbeast,

Sounds like you had a great time. We tried to ride FoF but the line was really long so we bailed.

Shaggy,

Yep, you took the words right out of my mouth. I will never forget that first ride with a full load and listening to the comments before we got on the ride. What a cool time1
