Texas Tornado, Did it Reopen?

I wanted to pose this question because the Astroworld website is promoting the ride on both the main page (in a poll for favorite thrill ride) and on their rides page with a headline "Don't miss it." I thinking about going to AW on Monday and I would like to not miss it, but I haven't heard anything about it having reopened and I'm a little suspicious. SF removed info about X after it was SBNO for about 2 weeks, surely they would have removed the info for Tex. Tornado after over a year, right? If anybody know the real story it would be much appreciated.

Texas Tornado will NOT be reopening this season.

I don't know what Six Flags f'n problem is, I say they sell it to PKI we need a good strong steelie :) and a Schwarzkompf to boot.

what the hell is wrong with this ride? it looks like an amazing ride, and a historical landmark to boot. why won't SF fix it? or is it beyond repair?
They tried to fix it and ended up making it worse.

I hate to say, "I told you so," but I am afraid I did...

It pulls to many g forces. It pulls 6.5 g's and they are trying to fix that with the trains, I think they should just open it for god sakes.

I've heard rumors that a certain "upstart" company in Maryland has been contacted to do "something special" for the future rolling stock.

But mind you, the current trains are still sitting there right on the ride/transfer track. It seemed such a waste just languishing there....

Uhhh... does Vortex ring any bells? I rode it yesterday, I found it unheadbangy, intense, and I even caught some air on the second hill. I hit my head on the restraint only 3 times. Give it some leg/ankles, WOOOO!

BTW, upstart company in Maryland? Do you mean Premier?
