Texas governor approves tax breaks to lure Houston area theme park project

Earthquest, a massive Disney-style entertainment complex north of Houston, is a step closer to reality after Texas Gov. Rick Perry signed enabling legislation for tax incentives to lure the project to East Montgomery County. The project is expected to cost more than $600 million and cover 250 acres, with a $150 million spa hotel also to be built on the site.
