Testing underway on California Adventure's Tower of Terror

Exterior work on Disney's California Adventure Tower of Terror continues to move forward, as the exterior is polished and testing begins on the inside.

In other news, the exterior of Disneyland's Space Mountain is being painted white.

Have to admit I find it har to believe they could keep the quality of the attraction without having 3-D motion. Oh well, I'll get to check it out for myself in March.

Everything I've read has indicated the the 9th floor's "fifth dimension" room has been eliminated. In addition to that show scene, the elevators moved horizontally between unload and load. Presumably, that's been eliminated as well.

In its place, DCA's Tower of Terror is supposed to use some new effects, including a large mirror that makes it seem like everyone in the car disappears, right before their eyes.

I don't need to chill, sonny. Maybe it's true. Either way, I don't really care, but people post things on the Internet and nonsense festers into fact without anything to back it up. I just want to know where he got his information and how credible it is.

What time does the water show start?

I hope this means that Space Mountain will look more sleek and modern; I'm not sure how it would blend with the rest of Tomorrowland. What they need to do is spend a siginficant amount of money and do something with the abandoned submarine and peoplemover/rocket rods sites. *sighs*

Jeff, word around the Disney fans is that the DCA version won't break out of the shaft, hence the 3rd shaft. I don't remember my source.

But if you see the tower in person, it's not as deep as the WDW version, leaving not quite as much room for the "5th Dimension" floor.

'gator- I agree, it's going to be weird. It's just another excuse for me to head out to SoCal. Well, that and X.
