Terminator themed coaster @ Magic Mountain

I think Moosh or Gator pointed out once that most wood coasters that operate year-round are going to have maintenance issues.

Nice!

They also have recently put some TLC towards Revolution, making it a better ride. That's something I never expected to see this year. It's one of those more subtle changes that makes all the difference. It certainly never happened before!

Thats pretty cool to hear about Revolution! What are they doing/done to it?

^ A completely refurbished train, with new harnesses and new body paint... the rest are awaiting the same treatment.

They've repainted it to look like it did back in the 70's, with the multi-colored cars.

Don't get overly excited though...the trains still have OTSR's.

I bet it will be another Thunderbird clone (Evil Knievil). It looks to be just about the same footprint as Psyclone.

Well thanks to Jive over at CC, we know have a photo that pretty much ties up all the loose ends of doubt that a GCI is coming to Worlds of Fun

http://coastercommunity.com/gallery2/v/Construction/wof2009/June+22nd25.jpg.html

They had one like this (in fact this could be one in the same) over at SFStL for the EK project. I will admit that I am surprised how Worlds of Fun's coasters always come to light waaaaay before the park wants them to. I mean remember Patriot and how the track was seen over at the plant with a sticker that said it was coming to WOF, and now all this lumber and the machine. Hmmmm....

Anxiously awaiting tree clearing and finally seeing what the layout will be like.

If my sources are correct (and sometimes they are not) WoF's GCI will not be a clone either.

But sometimes they are spot on, my friend...

I was at Worlds of Fun on Sunday evening and saw a pile of wood back by the "site". :)

Funny how this has turned into more of a GCI thread than a MM geting a GCI thread. :)

I wonder if your sources know my sources... if they do have them contact each other and we'll have lunch :P

I love sitting back and reading all of this! ;)

Hahaha. (Nice signature, too.)

I hope its a bigger GCI, like Thunderhead.

Bolliger/Mabillard for President in '08 NOT Dinn/Summers

What are the odds of Superman The Escape coming down and the open space on top of the hills at the park becoming home to a Boulder Dash-ique GCI?

Probably very low. :(

I wouldn't doubt a Wiggles World making its way into SFMM for 2009 as well. It would be a perfect-sized fit and low noise-pollution match for Flashback's former location.

^ If they are smart about it, they use that location for a Hurricane Harbor expansion. That park is packed each and every day, even in the middle of the week. Would make sense to expand it(can i wish for a deluge watercoaster?)

^Deluge was my first water coaster and I think it's boring. I finally got to ride it this year when I had to go to Kentucky Kingdom to Process my Season Pass. The closest Six Flags to me keeps getting farther and farther away.

^^The only thing SFKK is good for is swinging by to pick up your SF season pass on the way home from visiting Holiday World!!

This year, my girlfriend and I didn't even bother to ride anything!! (last year I at least spent two hours to ride their few coasters once) But this year, got the pass and bounced!

^That's the only real reason I was there. I was also there on my way home from the Holiwood Nights Weekend. Though I went to Rumblefest too. I figured since I was at SFKK, I might as well give Deluge a ride. Geting home an hour earlier would have been much beter. *** Edited 6/26/2008 8:46:31 PM UTC by Jason Hammond***

Hmmm, does anyone else seem to think MM is getting the most attention out of all the SF parks?
