Tennessee Tornado:Great Ride

Saturday, September 8, 2001 6:09 AM
How many of you buzzers have ridden this one. It's an Arrow but it's smooth....really smotth. You like HANG in the loop-screw...the drop through the mountain rules and there are never lines. Share your thaughts on this great coaster.

I love this coaster.  The first drop through the mountain is fabulous and the loop-screw is my favorite inversion on any coaster.  In my opinion, the ONLY flaw it has is length, but the intensity that it packs in such a short time is great.

I went on it in late july, I loved the ride, and no lines where only an added bonus, hopefully, more parks will show interest in this kind of ride.

Thank you very much.  Even though the server is down, I'm looking forward to these pics.  All of the pics I've seen so far are of the entrance, or a loop, or the diving loop or whatever.  I've never been able to see a whole layout.  Thanks.

Hey y'all!

Yeah, Tennessee Tornado is awesome! But, it is also very short!! It seems to hit the brakes with so much speed left!! I love the little pop of air you get right before you hit the brakes! And the lines were usually really good! I really hope Dollywood continues to add rides like that! I love it when parks use the terrain for their coasters! The first little turnaround before the drop was kinda unexpected, and the drop is really neat going through the mountain!

To put it basically, Tennessee Tornado is on par with any B&M out there and puts other Arrow coasters to shame. It's got to be one of the most underestimated rides for years.
