Techno Music on Euro Mir

I have heard that the techno music on Euro Mir is great and was wondering if anyone knew the name of it. Supposedly they sell the CD with it on it at the end of the ride, but I need to know what that song is. Thank You.
The name of the song is "Liftoff!" and yes the park does sell the CD which is entitled "Project Euro MIR". The entire album is quite good with similar type of music.

Also if you like that you should also check out the CD from their EuroSAT coaster. It's just as good as the Euro Mir one. Maybe better.

Thanx a ton for your help. If I lived near Europa Park, or even Europe picking up the CD might be a possibility. Right now, North Carolina is a bit too far for the CD's.

EDIT: None of my "sources" seem to have this song, anyway you could send it to my email address? jasonwilson@carolina.rr.com

I also have the Euro Mir CD and think it is nice and all (and I am not even a large fan of that style of music) but what kind of sucks is that the versions of "Liftoff" on my CD, does not contain the version that impressed me the most that played during my last ride.

-Sean (Oh well, I guess I will I have to go back to Europa sometime to listen again. Darn!)

They should play metal on it.

Sean,

I think the bit that you were impressed with has the vocals on doesn't it - second or third track. It's an extended version with the odd vocal soundbite, but it never gets into that same mesmerising loop as on EuroMIR. There is also the full queue line and exit path music too on the CD.

Has anyone got the Eurosat music? I meant to buy the CD of that too last time I was there.

Marcus,

The version I was thinking of didn't have vocals. The loop I really liked sounded as if it was in a different key than the version that is on the CD. I just remember riding the coaster over and over then noticing during my last ride that the music seemed to be a bit different.

It was the "Liftoff" song, but the loop was a bit different as well.

Interesting, although you're probably right. I do love playing Liftoff and imagining the lift, and also exit music which brings back vivid memories of me making my prompt exit off the platform and remarking that the train I just got off of had left the station before me. I loved everything about that ride.

I would have to agree with you Marcus. Every part of that ride screamed fun. I would even go as far as saying Euro Mir is the most fun I have ever had on a coaster. Period.

Perhaps it was the people I was hanging out with the day I was at the park or something else, but all I know is that I could not stop smiling or lauging when riding it. No matter how long the line got, we got back in line. Thankfully Europa has top-notch ride operators that move people through very, very fast so lines weren't an issue.

Once I got back from my trip, I was talking to a couple of people from parks around here. They wanted to know how the trip went and what the best rides were. I told them they needed to go to Germany and give Euro Mir a ride or two (or 15) to see how fun that ride is. I have a feeling that if we were to see one of these in the states, it would be a huge hit.

P.S. It was cool getting to hang out with you and Lucy a bit at Thorpe

Sean,

Likewise - enjoyed meeting up with the ACE members at Thorpe Park. I'm glad you enjoyed your day there - it's a nice park, and in my opinion better than Alton Towers.

One word I'm quick to use to describe Euro-MIR is that it's "electric" - it oozes energy, and although fairly intense in places is really fun. Even overlooking the coaster portion of the ride, there are a lot of unique elements throughout that really make this ride stand out
