It's built on and around lakes full of heavy water.

Heavy water? As opposed to the new Atkins Diet light water? ;)
Big Chief's also touts the Poseiden track as the world's only underwater go-kart track, which sounds pretty cool.

However, while you are driving on the track you don't actually see any water. Once you get up on a little bridge and look over the track layout, you see the short concrete tunnel you drove through, with about 3 inches of murky pond water on top.

So while technically you may be under a small quantity of water for a short period of time, it adds nothing to the experience.

My guess is the underground portion of the new coaster will be the same way - some concrete bunkers that add nothing to the ride. Let's just hope the ride is good enough to stand on it's own.

Well, if the ride does manage to squeeze in a few tunnels, it sounds like it might be a bit like Tremors -- and that's not really a bad act to copy.

Even if Timber Terror is better.

SACRILEGE, Maddie....Tremors...:)

Timber Terror DOES rock, though...;)

Tunnels are the number two thing a woodie can have....behind only airtime...:)

TPFKABCKAC is really into the false advertising though, so these "four elements" could be a new type of hill for all we know... it could be something completely worthless, and then you'll be disappointed.

I will be going up there for my honeymoon in August so it will be interesting to see how things are moving along.

Looks like someone got some good photos of this coaster and that of Avalanche at Timber Falls.

I have been looking at those pics of Hades. That first tunnel pic looks like it is near the turnaround on on Zeus. The others look like they are closer to the first hill or past it (closer to the road). Either that is one really long tunnel or there is more than one. Or maybe it is just weird camera angels.
All the pictures of the Hades tunnel were taken from roughly the same area (the sidewalk).

Why is it so hard for people to believe that this coaster will apparently go underground somewhere in the middle of the ride? Who cares if it goes underground before the lift? I don't get it.

Those pics make it look as though this will be pure mayhem. Thank God.

^Maybe we'll get lucky and there will be a pre-lift tunnel AND a tunnel or two mid-ride.
I agree that a pre-lift tunnel sounds like nothing to get excited about. Unless re-making a classic which had the same type tunnel, why not go below ground during the ride?
Admittedly some pre-lift tunnels are above ground. So why not put the same tunnel somewhere a bit more exciting?
