Kingda, El Toro, and now Tatsu. It's like the new trend for Six Flags to import names from other languages rather than recycle through eight signature SF coaster names. My theory is Six Flags does not want to share coaster names with any other park chains. There is not a wealth of coaster names that have not already been used. This places a great deal of creative responsibility on C.O.'s for SF, who cares very little about coaster names. My guess is it would make more sense to them if coasters were simply numbered, then building themes around the ride's number. Sesame Street does a good job of that.
God, just be happy its an original name. There re using Goliath this season, happy about that?

Is it pronounced TAT-su? or tat-SOO? Or TAHT-soo? Or Taht-SOO? Or tat-su-spi-cy-meat-a-ball?
Hey, pay me that salary and I can come up with combinations of two and three syllables all day long. Right after I come up with a few dozen different names for "off-white" and "tan" for Dutch Boy paints.

"Tatsu" wasn't that a Russian pop band whose only defining characterist was that the two singers were lesbians or the little guy on Fantasy Island?Have Fun
Yeah, and it's going to be a dueling coaster that intertwines in a mesh of fabricated steel and parts flying at high amounts of miles per hour in an unadulterated, lustful...
Ok, I'll stop now.
As of right now, I'm pretty sure I'd prefer Tatsu over T.A.T.U. anytime, even if it won't be the tallest, fastest, longest or terrainiest flying coaster ever.
:)
Translated (loosely, of course), it means "Dragster Clone".

The first album is fun mindless poppishness, though. I just noticed that they have a second album out---I'll have to point my Rhapsody client at it to see what's what...
Here's the Rhapsody review of their first album:
Who isn't into teenage Russian lesbians willing to make out with each other any time someone points a camera at them? The marketing genius that came up with this one also managed to come up with good songs on top of the lurid promo campaign. The creepy, cold music will appeal to the pop crowd as well as electro-hipsters.
