Tatsu first official test run -- successful!

For those that are interested, RCPro's Dan L. made a video of Tatsu's very first test run, which occured on 4/17 at around 7:55PM and all I can say is the speed at which the trains whip around the horseshoe, overbank and into the pretzel is much faster than I had even imagined...

Very very cool! They are probably going to trim entering the pretezl loop in the near future I bet. :(

Hilarious, actually!

Loved the video.... it was like the blair witch project there for a second .... Wow the speed that coaster had going into that banked turn that heads into the pretzel seems a bit much... It definately gonna have heavy Gs pushing against the restraints there. *** Edited 4/18/2006 9:42:31 PM UTC by VaRyda***
Colin, bite your tongue.

This looks very promising.

It looks ok, but I'd much rather have my picture taken with a costumed character, now that's COOL! ;)

Can you say Blair Witch Project? (I'm sooo scared!!!) ;)

Ok, that was the funniest thing I've seen all day. and I'm not talking about the "Blair Witch" style running and shaking of the camera. It's the "Exclusive" tag and all the time blocking. All for a couple of dark shots of some coaster running. LOL

Uhm...No? That would hurt :-p

But yeah, that was pretty "Blair Witch" if you ask me. GOD I want to ride Tatsu!

Yeah, that was great for all the wrong reasons.

^^^From the sounds of it, everybody who has posted in this thread is pretty happy to have seen the video, dark or not.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting you here but I'm not sure where the unappreciative posts are.

It looked VERY fast, especially compared to the Goliath videos a while back. Hopefully it will be a fun ride. I can only imagine that increased speed would improve the Superman flyers.

Long live the Big Bad Wolf

Also nice to hear they didn't muzzled the flying beast!
If this is anything like Goliath at SFOG when it first tested, they will probably changed to a more softer wheel. The first test runs of Goliath were extremely fast, but they changed to softer wheels that slowed it down to a more reasonable speed. I'm assuming they will do the same for this beast.

I like when the one person says "It's going really slow right here" and at the same times someone else says "It's hauling!"

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
SFoGswim, the trick to understanding alternate universes is to first realize we are all living in our own separate ones right now. ;)

LOL yeah, that and "omg, its going to make the whole course" < I should hope so, isn't it what its engineered to do? Interesting video though and it must feel kind of cool to have THE first vid of the first test run. Looks like something that youd find on Ebaumsworld or something called "crazy enthusiasts stop at nothing to see first run of new ride" or "blair witch test run" haha. *** Edited 4/19/2006 1:35:10 AM UTC by P18***

TPR has a really good testing video and photo update. It's in the daylight so you can actually see the ride. *** Edited 4/19/2006 7:39:52 AM UTC by TTDBoy***
Saw it testing last night as well. I heard the roar and thought it was Riddler. It looks really cool running in the dark. And man, it ripped through the course like a bat from hell. Looks like a winner!
