As tariffs lead to economic uncertainty, some families may just stay home and not visit amusement parks. The parks may incur additional cost for steel to build rides or importing merchandise from China.

My impression is that seasonal parks tend to buy most of their merch early in the year, so like the guy from Castaway Cove, they're probably good for this year. That seems to be a widespread phenomenon, because even the local car dealers are talking about how they've stocked up. The analysts are concerned because this may have created a bump in commerce that could be followed by a whole lot of nothing. And of course, that's assuming that Trump even sticks to his plans, and who knows since he's not looking at any data or consulting with experts.
