Tabloid names The Raven Top-10 Coaster

The current issue of The Globe, a national supermarket tabloid, names The Raven at Holiday World as one of the America’s top roller coasters.

The July 1 edition of The Globe names 10 roller coasters as the most thrilling in the country. The Raven is one of only two wooden coasters on the list. Other coasters in the article include Scream at California’s Six Flags Magic Mountain and Millennium Force at Ohio’s Cedar Point.

The feature includes an interview with a Los Angeles doctor who touts the health benefits of riding—or even thinking about—roller coasters. Crediting adrenaline and other neurochemicals, the doctor claims roller coaster rides “help flush toxic stress from your body.”

The Globe, which has a circulation of 632,000, this week also feature articles about Prince Charles and Camilla, Britney Spears eating spinach, and some unflattering photos of top stars.

The Raven has been repeatedly named the world’s #1 wooden coaster by the readers of Amusement Today magazine. Holiday World’s other wooden coaster, The Legend, currently holds the #4 spot in the wooden coaster category. For more information about the poll, see www.AmusementToday.com.

Holiday World & Splashin' Safari are open daily through August 17, then selected weekends through October 12. For more information, log on to www.holidayworld.com or call 1-877-Go-Family.

Now, I already knew about the benefits of riding coasters and how it helps to flush toxic stress from your body.

It's nice to see even a rag like the Globe can present some truth now and then. ;)

Just think... they tell you what the best coaster is and that Gary Coleman is actually an alien crack lord that spawned a two-headed baby that looks like Michael Jackson. Who knew?

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

lol, I've seen some pretty wild stories from those things, such as Bill Clinton dating a three brested prostitute =X

While it certainly isn't the biggest deal, its always nice to see positive words about the theme park industry :)

Is this really "newsworthy?" Let's not allow coasterbuzz to become a "rag" itself. :)

S:ROS; SFNE. Ride it, and you'll understand.

No one believes the tabloids anyway, so this cant be much of a help to us.
Good grief...I thought you would all get a chuckle out of this.

We sure did. :)
