Sweet looking Intamin Airtime machine...

Wow...look at this new for 2003 woody from Intamin...

http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery1562.htm?Picture=2

This is gonna be a serious airtime machine ! I betcha it's gonna be smooth as glass too - seeing as it costs nearly $10,000,000, it must feature Intamin's slick new track system.

I just wish it were being built in the US, rather than Sweden. Well, that's OK I guess...one more reason to visit the Netherlands. :)

70 degrees. A hell of a drop on a woodie.

Now Reopened With A New Layout!!!

I rode Colossos and those 'lasercut track' woodies are brilliant !

Colossos has a 60° drop, which is already breathtaking !
Enjoy Balder !

A small construktion update: There's not much left to build now. The first drop (yes 70 degree) is now finished as you can see on the webcam page http://www.cordes-row.de/3/6/4/f/1/INDEX.HTM

Now it's just the 2nd hill and some airtime filled camelbacks left and then they'll have 3-4 months of testing (when the weather allows)

Can't wait till 2003 season!

Wow. That looks like the Phoenix on crack and steroids. I wonder if the Intamin trains and track can really give that classic woodie feeling.

You must be this dumb to ride Viper. -SFGAdv.

I'm very jealous if my friend Johan now. He lives in sweeden. Looks like I'll have to have him go take a ride on it for me.

Sorry to nit-pick on your geography, but Sweden is farther north and separated by water from the Netherlands, aka Holland.

Arg!! Cant the highly-spoiled US enthusiasts have one too??

Sorry but I think we in Sweden/Scandinavia want to keep this Intamin wonder, but you're welcome to visit the park and ride Balder and Lisebergbanan. ;)

Sorry, I was thinking that "netherlands" was a general term for the whole region, not just Holland. My mistake.

I just load the page which is supposd to include the picture of the completef first drop and I am pissed that the 5th or 6th picture (which I think has the first drop)was the only one that didn't come up and remains as an "X"! Why? Why did the rest of the pictures work except for that one? I would think that is the one with the complete first drop since none of the other pictures has it! I have even tried to click on "show picture" and link that would enlarge the picture and still NO LUCK!!! Please help me see that picture or get it working! Ever since I have heard about the 70 degree drop I have been wait way too patiently to see it and now when I have the chance I get screwed again!! :-( BTW the second hill looks GREAT!!!! WHY can't we get a ride of this quality here???I'm sure Intamin wouldn't build it if they thought it was unsafe???

We're getting some awesome rides next year :D (Scandinavia)

You can see the drop one the latest pics, the one you're talking about just doesn't work. http://www.cordes-row.de/3/6/4/f/1/iddb71e8-001.APD/picture.jpg

And indeed scandinavia is the place to be next year.

Next Years openings: Balder, Vilda Musen, EuroFighter, SuperSplash and Half-Pipe.

And then Faarup Aquapark & Sommerland, in Denmark, is going to build an Intamin woodie with this new track. But that's probably for 2004.

omg @ Fårup Sommerland, I can't wait for that :D.

I agree, it's like someone designed it with pheonix in mind and crack in the system. Airtime machine comes close... but not quite. It appears to be one bunny (S:RoS style perhaps) after another, gradually descending, with a few turns thrown in every once in a while... a bit repetetive, but an airtimer's wet dream to be sure. I can't wait to see what this thing looks like finished.
