Superstition Mountain picture gets clearer at Indiana Beach

It looks like CCI has a few surprises up their sleeve on Indiana Beach's newest coaster. Recent construction photos show a tight layout with tight turns and steep drops while the elevator tower begins to form.

Show me the photos!

I swear this is going to be the scariest coaster ever built.

If the shoe fits, find another one.

My new #1!!!! Seriously though...check out that triple up and the crazy twisting double down. Holy Schnikeys!
Wow what a coaster this is going to be. Looks great!!
Wow, CCI sure has a knack for makin somethin out of nothin.
Hmmm 50 days til SRM .. so 52 until Indiana Beach. Ohhh the suffering.

Alot of this ride is bonus stuff for me because at first I had no idea they were going to do the dip back by the Hurricane or utilize the horseshoe over the lake. I go to sleep at night trying to picture what it will be like to ride it and I really have no idea. I can't wait to see the lift when they're done with it.

Indiana Beach Guide

This ride is going to be a total hit with the GP and enthusiasts alike! I wouldnt be suprised to see this ride recreated some where else . There's more than corn in Indiana......!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I'll bet that thing hits 5 Gs going through that loop.....faaar ooouut!"

This is what I'm talking about, family and kiddie coasdters shouldn't be boring and bare. Someone finally understood what I was talking about. These element may be small but they are awsome. This is genius, double down out of a cave, triple up into a the building, twisting dives(got to love then no matter how big they are), spinning tunnels, and all topping it off with the famous CCI swooping turnaround.
What a maniacal coaster! Looks like somthing each of us would create in our basement, or something.

Something that you should keep in mind and I forget this myself while looking at photos cause I am so knocked out with the suprize element its gonna have, but you'll be able to ride it backwards.

The anticipation for my proposed IB trip in June has just increased threefold.

The elevator (35 ft. tall) will be a vertical hydraulic lift, not a cable lift like MF's.

The cars will leave the lift towards the back of the mountain, cross over it's top and do a diving twist/turnaround by the Hurricane structure then back atop the mountain. *** This post was edited by IB*Dave on 4/13/2002. ***

OK, I was just tossing around the idea of convincing my wife to a stop at IB on the way home from our summer CP trip, but this clinches it. The car is going to IB and she can't do a darn thing about it!!! :)
